I made this fanfiction to show people what an impact Homestuck can make on someone's life, even for a lonely 8 year old girl. That it isn't just a sas and silly webcomic. This was done in a short period of time, so it's a bit short.

Enjoy.

~Mary The Painting

A small girl looked around, she seemed to be in a meadow. She was 8 years old, she had long brown hair and brown eyes. She wore a blue shirt with yellow cat on it. She wore normal shorts and blue shoes. She was always hate for one thing, and that was for having Imaginary Friends. Her older sister would read things that older sister enjoyed to this young girl, so her Imaginary Friends were these characters from the things she heard, and the only Imaginary Friend she had that wasn't based off a book was a yellow tabby with blue eyes named "Kitty". Kitty was this girl's first Imaginary Friend. In fact, Kitty was her best friend along with her other two best friends, John, Feferi, Nepeta, and Dave. This girl never knew the concept of "death" so she was confused when Feferi didn't move when she was shot or when John or Dave was stabbed or cut by knife and stayed still, or why "death" made her sister cry so much. Speaking of this little girl so much, her name was Kassie. Kassie spent so much time with her Imaginary Friends, her parents were worried for their little girl. Kassie never understood. She never knew what swear words were either, in fact, they sounded very funny! Back to Kassie in the meadow...

Kassie was confused, why was she here? When did she get here? "Hello?" Kassie asked. She was shy and timid, so it was a small and quiet hello."Kassie! Hello!"Kassie turned around and saw Kitty. "Kitty! You're here! Where am I?" She said joyfully."A wonderful place, Kassie," he purred. "Many mice. Anyways! Come with me! I need you to see something!" Kitty looked at her and started running off."O-oh. Okay!" Kassie grinned and ran after Kitty. Kitty stopped in front of a wooden house. It looked small and cosy. Kitty went up to the door and pawed at it and scratched at it. "A-are you sure we should be here?" Kassie stammered, picking up Kitty and stroking his head. "Yes, yes! I am sure we should be here!" He laughed. The door opened up and Kassie dropped Kitty. "Hey!" Kitty shouted, landing neatly on his paws. "John! Dave!" Kassie shouted in joy. "Hello Kassie! Come in! Come in!" John said. Kassie entered the cabin. It was clean, it looked like a normal cabin really, with stairs and a kitchen and a living room and windows and such. Nepeta looked up from her tea with Feferi. "Cattie! Mew're here!" She grinned. Nepeta and Feferi both hugged Kassie. "You know, I've been cooped up here too long. Lets go outside and play!" Feferi chirped. "Yeah, yeah! Let's go, let's go!" Kassie said, opening the door and running out with her Imaginary Friends following her. They ran and played tag until the sunset came. Kassie flopped on to the ground, exhausted. She began to sleep and John and Dave began to sing."It's safe... it's fun... in the meadow of flowers...It's full with animals who will protect you from harm and those scary towers...It's safe and nothing will hurt you again..."

"We're losing her!"

"Clear!"

"I'm sorry. We did all we could." The doctor said. A little girl has just died from cancer. A family looked at the hospital bed, weeping, where a little girl was laying. She looked like she was sleeping, but she was dead. Never to open her eyes again. The older sister knelt down and pat the girl's head, feeling the warmth draining from her younger sister. "Rest in peace, Kassie." She thought she could her a voice, but quickly ignored it, thinking it was her imagination.

"In the meadow of flowers... In the meadow of fun... Nothing will ever hurt you again..."
