Bound By Wings
Prologue
She was coming in fast, her wings were pumping hard and her chest was screaming with pain. Her arms tightened around her front and she chanced a glance behind her. The two hooded figures were still following her. Quickly she descended, hoping that with the up coming forest covering she'd be free. Folding her wings in she shot threw the open clearing and zoomed by close nit trees. Finally pulling her feet forward she finally touched ground and skidded to a halt in front of an old elm tree.
Pulling her arms away from her body, she examined her outstretched arms, they were covered in blood, and she winced as a breeze touched her open wound. Then she heard it, a snap of wood and the sound of voices. Returning her arms to her body she took a deep breath and winced.
'They won't retreat…' She thought and glanced at her wings. One had feathers sticking out at an awkward angle. But she pressed her self against the elm at the sound of voices again.
"She's close; here are some of her feathers," Said a woman's voice. The winged girl shuffled around the elm, and then burst out into a sprint.
"Follow her!" Shouted an angry male voice, she kept running. Threw bushes and around many different trees. She passed large sized rocks and dead vines. But as she sped up and jumped over a small sized rock, it exploded just as she was directly over it. Falling face first she skidded to a halt in a heap of her own body.
She could hear her two pursuers laughing as they came closer. With her arms still around her body, she tried to stumble to her feet, but could only manage to bump into a small boulder which held her up.
"Well hello, hello child," said the man coming closer to her.
'Someone please help!' Her thoughts screamed as she dashed away from the approaching man. The woman saw her movements but reacted slowly. The feathered girl was again sprinting away.
'Help!' Her mind yelled as she spotted a break in the forest.
'Help!' It screamed again and she cleared the forest. Coming to another crash landing, she laid, watching the forest opening.
"Are you okay?" Came a voice, and she snapped her head around. Many boys and girls were watching her and from behind a very tall man and a small elderly man stood.
"You'll pay girl!" Came a yell as the woman came through the trees.
'Help!' She yelled threw her thoughts again and looked at the people. A red haired boy pulled her up and stood in front of her. He drew from his black robes a slender piece of wood and pointed it at the woman.
"I shall take it from here, Mr. Weasley. Hagrid take your class away if you would be so kind." Said the elderly man coming through the kids. The boy addressed as Weasley put his wood away and turned to the winged girl.
'Don't they'll hurt him!' Yelled the girl's thoughts as Weasley pushed her away, he held her and smiled.
"Dumbledore knows what he's doing, come now." The voice was shaky but calming to her. As he glanced at her hand, he let it go quickly. The shock on his face was the last she saw as her eyes drifted to a close and her body tumbled down.
