I walked into the chapel and saw the bride run past yelling at her bridesmaids about something. She had always been a little more than a control freak. I knew the only reason I wasn't in the wedding party was that she didn't want me there. She was pushing a bit to much influence onto him. I looked around for a spot to sit. I saw his family and hers, clearly distinguishable merely by the color of there skin. I also saw his, well both of our, friends from back in the day. Most of them were part of the wedding party. I decided a nice seat off to an empty side would be appropriate. Ginger hadn't even wanted me invited though she had never said so to me. I wasn't even sure if I should have of come. I knew what I wanted to do but I didn't know if I would, or if I should. I saw Baljeet standing up at the front and the bridesmaids and groomsmen began to file in. The music changed and everyone looked back to see Ginger walking up the isle. I took a brief glance but returned my focus to Baljeet, trying to read his face. Happiness was there but even I saw it was being more than covered up by anxiety. The preacher droned through word after word and even Baljeet looked annoyed this was taking so long. The preacher was getting to the part where he would ask what I was waiting for. I think Ginger had some sort of intuition I was going to do something because she was looking nervous as he came up to it.

"Speak now, or forever hold your peace." A silence, during which I stood up. Everyone's eye's darted to me but I was looking right at Baljeet. I did catch a glimpse of Ginger's eyes however and she was expecting me to be looking at her, not Baljeet.

"What is he doing?"
"Is he really going to say what I think he is?"
The whispers were growing to a roar but all I saw was Baljeet's face and that of his groomsman who, having known me and Baljeet this long, almost saw this happening. Baljeet finally let out a sound

"Buford?"

"Baljeet," I had never been this nervous but I had to say it, "you don't want to marry her. Run away with me." Everyone was shocked beyond belief. Before I pressured Baljeet into answering I walked (ran) out of the church. I figured I could wait. I wasn't expecting a yes but I didn't want to be in there for a no.

"Buford?" Baljeet asked once again walking up to me.

"Baljeet? You came after me?" I was shocked, even moreso than any of the other people in the church had been. He let out a smile.

"Well I couldn't just let my bully leave without me. I'm glad you spoke up buddy."

"Me too."

(A/N This was originally going to be Baljeet marrying Wendy (from the Christmas special) and Ginger standing up but this seemed to fit better. I got a little stuck for an ending so if it seems to be a little off from the rest of the story that's why.)
