A Thought of You
Author's note: this is my second poem I hope you like!
When I saw him at the dance
I thought I might have had a chance
A chance to steal his heart away
I smiled and gave him one quick glance
He looked puzzled so I walked over
A chance encounter now took over
He smiled before he looked away
I knew that I'd have to win him over
He laughed and said he'd never danced before
I knew then that he was so much more
I dragged him to the floor right then
And grabbed his hands to lead the dance
To my surprise he was correct
He couldn't dance even dance a step
He couldn't seem to keep the beat
He seemed to trip over his own feet
After many mistakes he got the rhythm
He danced each step so perfectly
I danced with a Balamb Fish that night
And a shooting star came down from the sky
A smile appeared on his sweet face
I smiled back unsure if he had seen me
I knew we were the only ones in the ballroom
Who had seen the star fall from the sky
After Ultimica's defeat we awaited on the balcony
That night our we profiled our promise
The promise to see shooting stars together
Then I looked over to Squall
To see the smile I've only seen once before
I saw the first in the ballroom underneath a shooting star
Now there's another smile underneath a second shooting star
