Dean yawned, rubbing at eyes glazed from perusing the old book of lore in front of him. With a grumble and a loud, disgruntled sigh for the benefit of Sam, who was stretched out on his bed doing his own research, Dean flipped the page of the book. He suddenly snorted in amusement.
"What?" Sam asked. "Did you find something?"
"Not case-related. But there's a funny 'spell' here to turn someone into a giraffe. Listen."
"Uhhh…Dean…I don't think that's…"
Dean finished the spell with a chuckle then looked at Sam. Only to do a double-take. "Uh oh." He quickly recited the reversal spell that was written underneath the first. When he looked again, Sam was Sam. He breathed a sigh of relief.
"Dean? What the hell just happened?"
"What? Nothin'. Nothing happened."
"You just turned me into a giraffe, didn't you?!" Sam scrubbed a hand over his face and through his hair. He stood, looked down at himself, and spun in a circle.
"What? No!"
"You did! You turned me into a giraffe!"
Dean squirmed. "Okay, yeah. For like maybe ten seconds—whoopee!"
Sam stalked toward his brother—his movements ironically giraffe-like. "Gimme that book! I'll show you ten seconds!"
