Peter gripped Gwen's hands. He kept staring at her. Gwen didn't mind, always noticing when Peter admired like a little kid. His hiccup laugh made Gwen squeal, her eyes wandering to the window.
Come one...you can do this Parker...what can inspire you?...Rudy Rudy Rudy...yeah that movie was awesome...
Peter leaned over the table towards her lips, Gwen closing her eyes for contact. Suddenly, she backed away quickly, gasping. Peter's mouth was left open, scratching his forehead as if he had screwed something up.
"What happened?" Peter mumbled anxiously.
"Uh, it's just that I didn't mean to do that" She replied, sighing.
"No! You did!" He responded firmly.
"I said, I didn't mean to!" Gwen snared, her eyes turning fierce like an animal. Peter never allowed himself to question her statements like that.
"Look, I'm sorry!" Peter begged, trying to keep Gwen from getting up and leaving in haste.
"It wasn't your fault, Peter!"
Across the street stood a bar barely holding its roof together. Harry Osborne sat slouched at the counter, taking a quick gulp of scotch, weary eyes focused on Peter sitting lonesome, his eyes switching to catch Gwen wrestling her way out of the café.
"You finally did it Peter" Harry slurred, letting go the glass to let it shatter.
"Why don't you see me? How? I got you your goddamn intuition!"
"You think that'll get her to jump into her pants?"
He shook around to find his father sitting with legs up on a round table, lowering his shades to give him a dog's pupils.
"Dad, what are you doing here!" Harry cried,
"What are you doing here, getting drunk at two in the afternoon?! You're a goddamn disgrace to the Osborne legacy"
"Screw you! Like you're the perfectly caring father" Harry shot back bravely.
"I'd probably be a better father if my son wasn't such a weak, pathetic, bitch"
At this point, Harry and Norman were just having a one-up shout contest, each shot fired getting louder as it did longer.
"Did you call me pathetic? You can't even get over mom!"
Norman's eyes went ballistic, grabbing Harry by the collar. Harry placed his hand firmly, yet peacefully on Norman's shoulder, jolting towards the wall with a single shove.
"Tell the board of directors I said hi, Norman"
Harry staggered out of the bar, using all his concentration to keep his balance.
Gwen wouldn't want this.
Outside, Gwen turned towards Peter, gripping his arm.
"I hope Harry's okay"
"Me too, Gwen"
Only moments later would the sound of sirens ring in Peter's ears as he looked back and forth several times. He caught sight of five police cars swarming down the street non-stop. Breathing deeply, he struggled to say something to Gwen.
"Uh, uh Gwen, I…need to go somewhere. I'll get you a taxi"
"Wait! But we were going to the musical in…"
"Look, get home and I call you back for the musical"
"Uh, okay" She said with a depressed face.
He whistled twice and wave his hand in the road until a taxi pulled up to them and the passenger seat swung open. Gwen, looking back at Peter got in, waving goodbye. Peter stood still, his lukewarm face signalling some sort of departure for them. Once it drove off into the crowd of traffic, he disappeared into an alley, unzipping his backpack to have a blue and red costume hang out.
Four blocks away, speeding police enforcement failed to catch up with the getaway car, Spider-man beating them to it His uneven landing caved a bent on the top of the car as the guns popping out of the windows aiming messily at his him, before the bullet could even slide down the barrel, Spidey performed a high back flip, with the guns going off at each other as they all cracked into chunks of metal airborne. As for Spidey, was falling onto the road when he looked up onto the fleeing car, shooting thick webbing onto the back bumper, the car automatically hurled him rapidly into the same direction. He placed his feet on the ground as if he were water-skiing.
"Woohooo!" He shouted in glory as he jumped onto a parked car and sprinted upon more aligned parked cars as he kept the fleeing car in sights, lunging himself at the car again, landing barely as his climbed back onto the roof, jumping back and forth whenever a shot occurred. He giggled, his long arms spreading out as he gripped both passengers doors on the back, as it began tearing open and before he could lift it, it went flying into the opposite direction. As the thugs attempted to climb up miserably, he shot tangled web onto their eyes, blinding them as he grabbed them from their jackets, standing up still on the moving car as he looked back at them for a moment.
"You know, next time you plan a getaway, try using a real car! What the hell is this, a used Toyota! Geese my grandma can go faster… walking!" He replied sarcastically as he forcefully opened his hands, letting them falling onto the road, rolling over like rugs. Spidey, laughing his mask off, dragged it back down. He shot a pellet of webbing at the windshield, blocking their view.
"What are you doing, you're gonna kill us!" The driver yelled hysterically, wagging the wheel left and right.
"No, no, no you're going to die. If you haven't noticed, I'm sort of Spider-Man"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" The driver begged, a waterfall of puke shooting out his mouth.
Well someone is going to die-oh boy what would Nick say about this? Probably something about snakes being on some sort of vehicle…oh is that a school bus?
"Turn left!" Peter shrieked, the car shifting right, dodging a mess of taxis(and school bus), rolling into a tight alleyway. Spidey hops off the roof, examining the car's damage.
"I said left…annnd he's unconscious. God, I have to get better at this superhero thing"
