They faced all fear and even dread disease,

Conjoined in battle facing every foe,

Their masters were impossible to please,

And losses brought each one of them much woe.

His heart was true and valiant to the end,

Her mind sought answers hidden in the mire,

Each one would fight, the other to defend,

Both hearts sought truth with equal burning fire.

Their paths once crossed will never now diverge,

Entwined to seek the one and only truth,

Their courage and determination merge,

Face horror, danger, mystry, claw and tooth.

Yet they see not the truth that binds them here,

The fact that each loves other one most dear.
