The Fourteenth Squad

The captain of the 14th squad is tired is tired of being in the shadows, and wants to reestablish his own squad, whatever obstacles bar his path. OC centric story, with your OC's making up the cast. Now accepting characters.

The Fourteenth Squad.

The fourteenth squad was an unusual case. It existed as a section of the thirteen court guard squads, and had since their formation. It had a captain, a barracks, members and, at some point in history, had had tasks essential to the Soul Society. But, as far as almost anyone could remember, it hadn't served any real purpose. For at least more than a hundred and fifty years the fourteenth squad had been given no official missions by the head captain, and had been all but erased from the pages of history. At this time, most of the order in the squad had disappeared. Now it served a much more undignified role. Some considered it a detention center for Shinigami who screwed up or weren't wanted by their squads for various reasons. Others considered it a haven for shinigami who wanted to disappear. A few saw it as a bus stop for those unsure of their future. A sort of purgatory when shinigami had to be transferred between squads. No one even knew where the barracks were located until they were sent there. That's not to say the squad was weak. Shinigami ranging through all ranks, some of even vice captain level, passed through the fourteenth squad. But that was just it, no one ever stayed with the squad for more than a month or two. For most of this time, the captain of the fourteenth squad had accepted this as his squad's fate. But then something triggered him out of his depressed state, and ignited an enthusiasm that had lain dormant for eons. Now he wanted to make the fourteenth squad something everyone would know and be proud to be a part of. So, after over a hundred years, he began to reestablish his squad.

Okay, this is going to be a pure OC thing, about the fourteenth squad trying to become a squad again, and pretty much screwing everything up. I've seen, and been interested in, this sort of idea multiple times, but all the authors have cancelled their stories very early. As such, I have decided to do one myself.

I may ask for more characters later, if the need for more arises. Note that I am also open to people giving suggestions for points in the plot that I will take into consideration. However, please remember that this is still my story, and I have last say in all decisions.
