Waiting

A/N 2: This is just a little tid bit I typed up thinking about what Andy would have done/thought after realizing Sam is gone.

And just like that he was gone.

So much for having the good candy right now, once again they were going to be saved for later.

After leaving that message for Sam, Andy couldn't wait for him to call back, she headed to his place. Sadly he wasn't there to open the door and let her in. She tried calling him again and yet no answer, she waited for half and hour before giving up and going home.

The next morning, Andy had a smile on her face as she was getting read for briefing. She figured Sam had a long night with the boys and that she would see him today.

"You look like you're in a good mood today." Traci pointed out looking at her best friend.

"I'm going to do it." Andy smiled.

"You're going to get under Sam? Or did you do that already?" she winked.

"No there was no getting under anyone. I decided that I'm going to talk to him about everything." She said as she buttoned up her uniform. "We had a moment again last night."

"What happened?"

"We almost kissed."

"Almost?"

"Trust me, it was very hard not to lean in and just kiss him."

"So why didn't you?"

"I don't know. We stood there, in full kissable reach, and stared at each other, then I walked away."

"Andy…"

"I know, I'm so stupid."

"You're not stupid, you're just cautious."

"He did tell me he was going UC again."

"Wow really?"

"Yeah, said he's going in three weeks."

"For how long?"

"Not sure. Weeks, months, or longer. I called him last night and went to his place but he wasn't home."

"Went for some Swarek loving I see." She winked.

"Shut up." She laughed.

"You going to talk to him today?"

"Yup."

Walking into briefing Andy expected to see Sam sitting next to Oliver in his usual spot. Unfortunately he was not there.

He didn't show up anytime during the day, or the days after that.

Andy asked Oliver, Jerry, and Best, not getting a single answer for any of them. She knew the night he didn't call her back something was wrong.

After a week of no Sam she put her best bet together and figured that he was under cover already. Without a notice that he left, Andy only hoped that he was safe.

The only thing Andy could do was wait for him to come back.

To come back to her.
