Overall summary: Anton Mercer had enjoyed his life after being freed of Mesogog, he mended his relationship with his son, he had used his money to do good for more people, and he tries to make a difference. But when his past returns to bring trouble and destruction he must take action. By using the powers of the recently unearthed ninja shuriken, he must gather a new team of rangers to fight this evil and atone for his sins.

Red Shuriken Ranger
Name: Brody Romero
Physical appearance: tan skin, dark brown hair, brown eyes.
Description: Brody Romero is a young high school student who wants to learn how to be a ninja. He used to be told of stories of how his ancestors were some of the greatest ninjas of all time. Wanting to continue the family legacy, Brody wants to become the first ever modern day ninja. Training hard in martial arts and stealth. He doesn't let anyone stop his dream from becoming a reality.
Personality: determined, caring, strategic, stealthy, willing to help his comrades, put himself in the most danger most of the time and knows how to work with others.

Blue Shuriken Ranger
Name: Preston Tien
Physical appearance: long black hair, brown eyes
Description: Being the son of Anton Mercer's business rival he has conflict feelings of working for Anton even if it is to protect the city. Preston had always wanted the approved of his father but it seemed that all he gets in the end is disapproval. But as he works with Anton he begins to see he has the father he never got.
Personality: strict, straight-forward, focused, doesn't quite understand the others.

Yellow Shuriken Ranger
Name: Calvin Maxwell
Physical appearance: fizzled brown hair, brown eyes
Description: Calvin is a car/bike obsessed kid who enjoys working on his truck and modifying it. When he is not fixing his truck, he is out racing to prove his truck is the fastest there is. He and Sarah help create the vehicle for the rangers to use.
Personality: self-centered and full of himself at times, sarcastic, loves his truck as much as his girlfriend sometimes and rushes before thinking.

Name: Hayley Foster
Physical appearance: long black hair, brown eyes
Description: Hayley loves animals ever since she was a little girl and has a pet dog that follows her almost everywhere. She spends most of her time helping out in her family animal clinic or taking her dog out for a walk. Hayley is also the girlfriend of Calvin as she often helps support him with fixing his truck and making vehicles.
Personality: kind, loving, cares about both animals and people alike, sarcastic at times.

Name: Sarah Thompson
Physical appearance: dyed pink hair, green eyes
Description: Sarah is a young student and inventor at the school. Always thinking of all sorts of new inventions. Even though they do not work out a lot of the time, she does not give up and keeps trying. She often likes hanging out for the others and keeps enthusiasm help her creativity for when she comes up with her crazy ideas.
Personality: intelligent, smart, thinks she can handle everything by herself, doesn't understand people as well as machines, and a bit of a know it all at times.

Name: Levi Weston
Physical appearance: tan skin short brown hair, brown eyes
Description: Levi is a country boy who had recently moved to the city with his family because of his father's work. He takes pride in his western roots and he show all the time with his attitude, personality, and clothing. One of his greatest treasure are his guitar and his family heirloom. He likes to get around and see the sites being a different environment than he was used to. But, he had not moved there alone, his family having a secret history he chooses not to tell others about.
Personality: kind, hardworking, likes to sing and play guitar, in root with his countryside, will do what it take to protect his friends, and a bit of a show-off.

Tech Shuriken Ranger
Name: Scarlet Jones
Physical appearance: cut short brown hair, green eyes
Description: Scarlet Jones is one of the students in Brody's homeroom class. She also works at the Alan's Bakery at the city mall. She likes to bake and greet the customers with a smile. Even though shy, she warms up to the rangers and becomes their friend. Even though she isn't as skilled or well-trained as the others may be, Scarlet can pick up quickly and hold her own in a fight. Proving she is much of a capable fighter and person than people may think.
Personality: shy, kind, hard-working, doesn't like getting angry, will do what she must to protect those who are important to her.

Allies and Supporting Characters
Anton Mercer- Anton Mercer was former villain of the Power Rangers Dino Thunder as he transformed into the monster, Mesogog. Several years had passed since those days as he had returned to his old self and lived a somewhat normal life. Though, when another old foe comes back from the shadows, he must take action. After discovering the ninja stars, he recruits a group of young teenagers to fight back and become the Shuriken Strike rangers.
Dr. Lancer- A female scientist and the assistant of Anton Mercer. She acts as the team's technical support. Between watching their battles from their base and fixing their weapons when damaged. Dr. Lancer is very intelligent but has a quirky with her personality. And though she may not seem like much, she is not afraid to get her hands dirty and be tough.
Sensei Sento- A middle aged ninja master. He helps Anton Mercer escape Lotor's grasp and reclaim the ninja stars. Acting as a second mentor, he helps the team in training with physical combat and perfecting their ninja skills. He sometimes comes off as strict and cold but only wants the rangers to be prepared for anything, and even though he doesn't admit it, he grows to think of them as a family.
Blackwing- A talking bird who helps assist Sensei Sento in combat training. He comes off as a bit clumsy and a bit of a joker.
Vince- The high school's and locally known school bully. He has the tendency to act like a jerk and a idiot. Vince is also known to occasionally cause trouble not just for the rangers but for the rest of the city.
Villains
Lothor- After surviving Mesogog's layer being destroyed and becoming a mutant, he sought revenge on those who wrong him. After one of his revenge plans fails, he luckily find a dark force to continue his plans. He just needs to reclaim his rightful place of leadership.
Grand shogun Necro- The leader of the Yokai who once ruled over all of Japan until he was sealed away by Sensei Sento's ancestors. Now he returns thanks to Lotor who he now 'serves'.
Dark Sage Miko- The dark mage for the yokai. She uses her dark arts to create the monsters and demons that fight the rangers. She loyalty 'serves' her master but has wicked plans with Lotor.
Corgan- Necro's greatest strategic and most loyal servant who is in charge of the millions of forces. While Necro is recovering he commands his forces and more importantly to keep a eye on Lotor and Miko.
Figas- Necro's loving wife who loves to spend her time torturing humans, attacking cities, and stealing clothes and jewelry from the store.
