Belief

Disclaimer: I own nothing at all.

Once upon a time she had believed. She believed in unicorns, fairies and princesses. She believed in happy endings. It was hard not too when her parents told her stories of the creatures, when her walls were plastered with their pictures, when her Daddy called her a princess, when she could see her parents happy ending playing out before her eyes.

But then it all changed. With the word she had grown to hate.

Audition

When her mother had taken her to her first audition she had been dragged in kicking and screaming too shy to dance, sing and act in front of these strangers. But one of look at her Mommy had changed her mind. She had looked so cross. And so she danced, she sung and she acted. And she got the part.

That night when her father returned home from work interrupting the celebration that she and her Mommy were having his face had clouded over once the reason for it had been revealed. She had been sent to bed despite her Mommy's promise that she could stay up extra late.

She had gone up alone wondering all the time why her Daddy had looked so cross, why her Mommy had looked so defiant. But the reason had only become known to her when she had slipped between her pink covers and closed her eyes.

And then the row had erupted. Her Mommy was so proud of her for nailing the audition. Her Daddy didn't want her in show business. Neither of them came and kissed her goodnight that night. Neither of them came to bed their voices were raised all night. And none of them got any sleep.

That morning when her Mommy picked her up from kindergarten they arrived home to find all of Daddy's things gone. And with it went the world of unicorns, fairies, princesses. And with it went her happy ending.

For the rest of her life she was pushed into auditions, she was pushed into the light of the cameras and she hated it.

She hated how she had no choice to act but like the spoilt bitch and even once Sonny joined the cast of So Random she was still not allowed to let go of the act completely. Returning home to her mother each night guaranteed that.

And with that went any chance of a true friend no matter how hard Sonny tried and with it went any chance of belief in unicorns, fairies and princesses. And with it went her happy ending no matter how hard any guy tried because she just didn't believe.

She didn't have the energy to commit 100 percent to their relationship because she didn't believe it would last so what was the point?

Tawni Hart didn't believe in unicorns, fairies or princesses. And she certainly didn't believe in happy endings.

Thanks for reading. I hope it was ok- I used a lot of repetition for effect but I wasn't sure if it worked or not so your thoughts would be appreciated.
