On day twenty-five it's time to make a wish.

-:-

Madoka wasn't sure what to do. The pink-haired magical girl thought back to her time as a goddess before her friend Homura took over. Knowing that she would have to fight Homura in the future, Madoka wasn't sure if she was prepared enough.

On one hand, Madoka was now living in a world where she was a normal girl and would technically never have to deal with magical girls or witches ever again. On the other, since she had regained her memories of her past lives, Madoka knew she had no choice but to fight Homura.

She was starting to regret making that wish. If she had never taken up Kyubey's offer to become a magical girl, then maybe none of this would have happened. If she weren't a magical girl, Homura never would have gone back in time as much as she did to save her.

Tears fell from her red eyes as she hugged herself. Madoka wanted nothing more than for this to end, but she was never this lucky. Wiping the tears from her eyes, Madoka gained a determined look as she headed home.

If she had to fight Homura one last time, she would be ready for it.

This was probably the hardest Month of Pink one-shot I've written, as I just don't care for this series. Even with a wiki, it was difficult to keep Madoka in-character.
