Whelp! I'm re-writing this completely... I'm just going to post this chapter, for now, to see if any of its fans are still alive. (Crosses fingers). I'm making this story better. You all deserve something that is worth reading and hopefully I can give it to you.
Of course, Hiro Mashima owns Fairy Tail. I only own the willpower and imagination to write this!
You know how people always say that your high school years are the best years of your life? Well, that saying is very true in Natsu Dragneel's case. The handsome, salmon-haired boy was living the life of every seventeen year old's dream: Popular, getting to party every weekend, doing whatever he wanted to whenever he wanted to do it, and most importantly getting any girl he wanted.
With his childhood best friend, Gray Fullbuster, at his side, he was completely unstoppable. The two to-be seniors ruled the school.
How might you ask? Well, that's simple. When you have looks that would make even the straightest of men stop and drool over you, are talented in anything you do, have smiles that make girl's knees weak, and gifted in every sport imaginable, you get pretty high on the high school food chain.
And to top it all off, Natsu was a smart kid. He excelled in English and History but, like all gifted students, Math and Science challenged him to a point where he was uncomfortable, which in turn had him in the Library every day after practice for the entire summer. And that, my friend, is where we are starting this story. The Library.
Natsu let out a heavy sigh as he entered the library, breathing in the hardy smell of dilapidated books. With the beginning of his senior year coming rapidly approaching, he decided to hit the books. It wasn't because he was worried that he was going to be behind but because he had to make sure his academics were up to his standards.
Fairy Tail high was the place where gifted students went.
Tuition was the most expensive in all of Magnolia so the rich kids had to be smart in order to stay in. Scholarship kids, like him and Gray, had to keep up with the program in order to continue staying.
But Natsu didn't want to just 'stick with the program', he wanted to excel- rewrite the program. Correction, he wanted to be the program. He wanted to set the standards for other scholarship kids. Something for them to try to achieve.
Of course with his impossibly high GPA, a 4.8, he didn't know if anyone could compete with him.
Natsu made his way down the rows of seats until he reached a small table in the corner by the window. He set his books down and sat himself down next. Advanced biology, physics, and Calculus.
Great.
Cause Trig and Chemistry weren't hard enough last semester.
Natsu sighed again.
This was going to be a long semester.
Suddenly his sensitive hearing picked up a couple of hushed giggles from down the way. He slowly raised his head and turned to the direction of the noises. Two pretty girls sat together, heads close, whispering while sneaking glances at him. Natsu chuckled lightly. Damn, being this good looking had perks.
Natsu thought about sitting there and actually studying, but with how not-so-noisy the two girls were being he decided to have a little fun before cracking down and getting to work.
Slowly the soon-to-be senior stood, stretching his back muscles and lifting his arms over his head. Mine as well give them a little show before he went over there.
He felt a slight breeze from the air-conditioner on the bare skin of the mid-drift as his shirt rose up with his out-stretched arms. The whispers for across the way became more excited and high-pitched.
A smirk made its presence on his lips as he walked over to where the two were sitting, not bothering to move his books.
Taking the open seat across from them he watched the two girls undress him with their eyes. He almost chuckled with how straightforward they were being.
"So what brings a hottie like you to the library?" One of them asked.
Natsu eyed the girl. Short, light brown hair, dark brown eyes, round face, thin lips. Pretty, but not quite his ideal type.
A lazy smile graced itself upon Natsu's lips.
"Just doing some studying and looking for some pretty ladies like yourself." He winked at her. The girl squirmed excitedly, a broad smile brightening her round face.
"Well, we were just talking about going to a movie later. Care to join us, Natsu?" The other girl purred out. Natsu shifted his gaze to her.
Long, jet-black hair, dark green eyes, oval face, full, pouty lips. Things were getting closer to his ideal with this one. Plus, the nervousness she showed by fidgeting with her hair? Natsu could feel himself getting all wound-up.
"Well, I would be honored to accompany two beautiful young ladies to the movies tonight." They looked to be only a grade younger than him, so at least that didn't put them on the 'Hell no' list. He was going to make it a point to bring up what grade they were in later though.
The girls giggled again. Natsu chuckled lightly. He loved being 'Mr. Popular' with the ladies. He had a reputation for being pretty 'untamable' when it came to settling down with a girl. He was young, was he supposed to want to get married to the first girl that caught his attention? Besides, marriage was a myth in Natsu's mind. All the girls at Fairy Tail wanted to tame him and be the one he would fall for, but Natsu didn't believe in love so they were all dreaming for nothing.
Suddenly Natsu felt his iPhone vibrate in his jeans. He pulled it out quickly to see it was a text message from Gray.
Party as Erza's tonight! You better come, Flame-brain! It's her big back-to-school blowout.
Natsu's smile turned mischievous. Perfect.
He sent a quick text saying he'd be there by eight and quickly put his phone back in his pocket.
"Does this mean you're gonna ditch out on us?" The light haired girl pouted. Natsu shook his head.
"How about coming to a back-to-school party with me instead of a silly movie?" The boy gave them a sly grin and the girls nodded excitedly.
"We would love to!" The brown haired girl said excitedly.
"Alright then, I'll pick you up in front of the school about 7:30." The two nodded aggressively, afraid Natsu would for some reason change his mind about inviting them. Natsu smiled again at the girls and nodded to them, signaling that he was going to leave and walked over to his table.
Another long sigh escaped his lips as he sat back down in the wooden chair. Things were going to be interesting tonight. Erza's parties were never tame.
Natsu chuckled lightly. Hopefully, he'd be able to get some studying done before seven rolled around and he'd have to go back to his dorm to take a shower and get ready. It wasn't easy being this good-looking.
The three of them had arrived at Erza's party at 8:15. Natsu had to explain to the girls that he had a reputation of being 'fashionably late' to things like this so they couldn't be there on time.
Now it was 10:06 and things were finally taking a turn for the better.
Natsu had finally pawned the little brown-haired girl, Jill, off on Gray and was getting busy with Amanda. At least that was what he hoped her name was. Honestly, he hadn't been paying too much attention to what she was saying rather than her ass in those tight leggings she was wearing.
Long, long legs- Miles long.
And boy, did he love a girl with long legs and a nice rack.
They had been slowly grinding on each other for the past ten minutes or so and Natsu was getting tired. It had taken a lot out of him trying to stay focused on his studies instead of this party.
He needed a drink. Something to make himself loosen up. He was way too tense.
He ceased his grinding and leaned down to talk in Amanda's ear.
"I'm gonna go grab a drink. Want anything?"
Amanda nodded.
"I'll be right back." He whispered in her ear before leaving. He headed to the little kitchenette where all the coolers were that had the beer. Natsu took in the scene as he walked over.
Couples grinding on one another, Gray making out with Jill, one kid puking his guts out in the garbage can. Natsu made a mental note to never use that garbage can again. That looked gnarly.
Leaning down in the cooler, he grabbed two Budweiser's and wiped them off with some random shirt he found on the counter next to him. He wondered momentarily whose it was. It was probably Gray's. That stripper in training didn't know how to keep his clothes on.
Natsu exited the kitchenette and saw his date sitting on the love seat over by the tv, eagerly waiting for him to get back. Natsu snorted. This was going to be way too easy.
Just as he was heading over to Amanda, a blonde girl came out of nowhere, bumping into him forcefully and spilling her Mike's Hard Lemonade all over herself and his favorite shirt. The blonde looked to him, a slightly worried but pissed off expression clouding her oval face.
"Fuck me." He heard her mumble as she started wiping at her stained blouse.
Natsu cursed under his breath.
That shirt had been very expensive!
He looked up at the girl, fully ready to tear her a new one when he actually looked at her. He was completely floored.
Natsu Igneel Dragneel had never before seen a girl who was more beautiful than the blonde standing in front of him.
His eyes moved on their own, totally and completely drinking her up. He took in her lovely facial structure and gaped in awe. Beautiful, big brown eyes with full, pouty, tempting lips. Her oval face was framed by, not blonde he decided, but golden locks. Her hair looked so soft to the touch, Natsu almost caught himself reaching out to feel it. Her pale skin was tinged with the pink of a blush, either from the alcohol or from being embarrassed by the situation, and Natsu decided then and there that he liked this look on her.
He let his eyes wander down this mysterious girl. Huge chest, slender waist, full hips, mile-long legs. She was getting better and better.
Her white cropped tank hung loosely off her shoulders and her black miniskirt was so short it had to be illegal in at least twelve different states. He couldn't stop staring at her. When he pictured his perfect girl, she seemed dim compared to the beauty that was in front of his face. She was everything he dreamed for and more.
Natsu needed to know her name.
Suddenly he noticed a small hand waving in front of his face. He quickly snapped himself out of it and decided to listen to what she was saying.
"Did you even hear a single word I just said?" Her voice was like an angel's. A very pissed off angel but none-the-less music to his ears. Damn, he could listen to her talk all day.
Suddenly Natsu became aware she was impatiently waiting for an answer. His signature smirk danced on his lips.
"Sorry, but I wasn't paying attention to a single word you just said, sweetheart." The blonde huffed, showing off her clear agitation at the predicament.
"I said do you know how much this skirt cost me?" Natsu glanced down to the black fabric that now clung to the creaminess of her porcelain thigh.
"Sorry about that. How about we exchange information and I'll get you a new drink." The blonde rolled her dark brown orbs.
"How about we skip the information part and I'll just send you my dry-cleaning bill. But, as for the new drink, I will accept your offer." She took one of the Budweiser out of his hand and gave him a cheeky smile.
Natsu almost forgot how to breathe. He was liking this girl more and more by the second.
"I didn't say you could have that beer." The girl shrugged.
"Too bad, it's mine now." Natsu had to laugh at that. That was definitely something he would have said to a stranger.
"Fine, you can have the beer, but I do need your phone number at least so I can tell you where to send your dry-cleaning bill to." Natsu's grin turned wicked. "Or you can always come over to my room and I can hand-wash it for you."
The blonde smirked. "Fine, get out your phone."
Natsu was floored again. She didn't seem like that type to just hand out her number.
He fumbled for his phone in his pocket for a moment but quickly pulled it out.
"Okay, what is it?"
"It's 1-800-none-of-your-business." Natsu laughed. And there was the type of girl he figured her to be.
"Is that without spaces or with?" She grinned.
"Without."
"Well, miss…?"
"It's None-ya."
"None-ya?" Natsu laughed out.
"Yeah, as in None-ya-business." This girl. This girl right here.
"Come on. Please? I gotta know the name of my next girlfriend." The blonde snorted at that.
"Puh-lease. I will probably never be your girlfriend."
"Never say never." Natsu's grin widened. The girl looked at him unenthused.
"You just did. Twice." And with that, she turned and walked away. Natsu was almost sad to see her leave, but absolutely loved the way her hips shook in that tiny mini-skirt. He thought about it for a minute. This girl was not someone he was going to be able to forget easily. Not like what's-her-face. She was his complete ideal girl. Even better than his ideal girl.
He really hoped she was going to come to school here in the next week. He would have a much harder time tracking her down if she went to a different school.
"Who the hell was that?" The sudden voice of Gray startled him out of his thoughts. He turned to see his best friend watching his blonde the way he had just been watching her. A sudden wave of jealousy rose on him like a heat wave. He was the only one who could look at her like that.
"Stop drooling over her, ice-princess. That's gonna be my next girlfriend." Gray rolled his eyes.
"Oh, yeah? Until some other hot chick comes around?" Natsu thought about it. This one was weird. This one was different. He wanted her like he had never wanted a girl before. And of course, she was the one that was going to play hard-to-get.
Natsu smirked.
Let the games begin.
Well, here's take-two on Unexpectedly! Like Natsu said 'let the games begin'.
Review! Bye, loves:)
