The Scrapbook
It was a cold winter night. Wind was blowing and snow was falling. A man with long red hair sat on the couch. His emerald eyes seemed to glow with the light of the fire.
He looked through an old book. It was a scrapbook. He opened it. On the first page was a picture of him and all his friends about twenty years ago. The title of the book read "Kurama's scrapbook". He looked through.
The next page had the fewest pictures. They were pictures of his best friend named Hiei. He never liked getting his picture taken Hiei was the quite one. The most you'd get him to say is "hn". Kurama hadn't seen him since he stopped going back to demon world. He wondered what he's been doing.
The next page had a lot more pictures. This of the kid who was either completely serious or wore a goofy grin. Black slicked back hair and deep brown eyes. It was none other than Yusuke the former spirit detective. Kurama sometimes missed his smart comments, stupid jokes, and little un-necessary outbursts.
Next was Kazuma Kuwabara. Kind of Yusuke's side-kick. He was the tallest. He also made fun of Hiei a lot. He had a lot of pictures too. Kuwabara loved to be the hero. Kurama could think of nothing more to say about him.
The next page also had few pictures. Some were of a toddler and some were a young man. Both were identical. This was Koenma, the young lord of spirit world. He was hard to forget about.
Next was a bubbly looking girl with blue hair and pink eyes. She had many pictures. She was Botan grim reaper and assistant to the spirit detective. She was always happy. So she wasn't exactly a grim reaper.
The next page held a fair amount of pictures of a girl with short brown hair and brown eyes. Keiko. She was Yusuke's girlfriend. She was always spirited and could keep people in line.
Next was a young woman with long light brown hair and brown eyes. Shizuru, Kuwabara's older sister. She smoked a lot. She was probably the most adult of the girls.
The next was a young girl named Yukina. She was Hiei's sister, but she never knew. She always tried to stay hopeful and cheery. She valued every life. She was good at helping people through bad times.
Next was an old woman. Genkai. She was Yusuke's mentor and trainer. She was extremely powerful. She was also very wise. Kurama didn't know much more about her.
Still lost in memories Kurama closed the book. Then there was a knock on the door.
He was surprised to find all his friends had come to see him. All the people he was remembering (even Hiei, Koenma, and Genkai) had come to see him. They were there for hours. Talking, laughing, and remembering together.
Kurama gave a happy sigh as his friends left. He placed a new group photo next to the one on the front page. He closed his scrapbook and went to bed. Now in a nother few years he could remember this day and the happiness that came with it.
