This is my First A/G fic. It's another way I thought they should have figured out Alanna's a girl. I think it's cute, but I need other opinions too! Read'n'enjoy!
PS I don't own anyone…
Alanna sat on her bed, wondering about George. He seemed an intelligent enough boy, but he seemed very sharp. Very Sharp. He might be able to figure out her true identity. Maybe it was a bad idea to keep in contact with him, but he was very nice, and not to mention, hot too. She trusted him, for some abnormal reason.
Meanwhile…
He isn't too bad George thought. But he seems rather strange. Kind of, unsure of himself. In a way. He seems uncomfortable with his own body. Strange. And I swear he sounded girlish. Gods above, is he gay! No! Of course not. I hope not anyway. Wait. Wait just a second. He had a very flabby chest. And very elegant cheekbones. And he didn't saunter, he walked, elegantly, politely, WHAT THE HELL?
After a few days…
Dear Alan,
Please come to visit me for dinner tonight and we'll discuss something that has been on my mind for quite a while.
Your friend, George.
Alanna finished reading the letter. She grinned. She was looking forward to meeting him.
At the Dancing Dove…
"Mister, I would like to talk to George please."
"Oh, and who might you be?" the bartender asked cautiously.
"I'm Alan, a knight in training from Corus."
"And he's with me." Said a beaming George from behind her. "Thank you Master Gin." The bartender just grinned.
Alanna followed George to another room, where food and drink had been laid out. "Sit down." George invited. Alanna nodded. "Help yourself." He said as he reached down to have a roll. Alanna had checked to food just as a reflex and gasped.
"NO! Wait." She scanned it yet again. "It's poisoned." George looked smug.
"Thank you Alan." Alanna just smiled.
"Now, I need you to tell me something."
"Uh-huh."
"Are you--" he said with painful slowness.
"Yes?"
"a girl." He ended flatly.
"WHAT?" Alanna yelped and jumped up, hitting her head on the low ceiling. "Ouch! Damn that hurt." She cursed.
By then George was sure. "Are you, or are you not a girl?" he asked her again.
Alanna just turned away and folded her arms, refusing to answer.
George walked over to Alanna, stood in front of her, and within the blink of an eye, he had snaked his arm around her and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. Alanna was taken aback, and didn't know what to do. All she managed was, a thump on his head. That broke the kiss. "OUCH! Lass, you hurt."
"bloody idiot, now I'm screwed. What the hell do I do now!" she cursed as she began pacing the room. George looked at her amused.
"So I take that as a yes."
Alanna shot him a glare. If looks could kill, he would have died a painful death. He winced.
"Alanna, look, I'm not going to tell anyone."
"How do I know I can trust you?"
"because of this," he said, as he placed a chaste kiss on her lips. She blushed profusely when he broke off. "Look, I am the king of thieves, I keep my word. And I like you. And even if you don't I will keep my word. Your secret is safe with me." He said. Alanna smiled.
"Thank you George. And the trust question was stupid. Just today morning I decided I could trust you. And I think I like you too."
"good." He said, before kissing her again.
