Penny finds out something that might change things... (215 words)
Here's my prediction for what Penny and Leonard will face in the eleventh season. I was inspired by How I Met Your Mother (season 7, episode 12). I know it's pretty sad, but to misquote Sheldon I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if that happened and I never told you.

Penny nibbles her bottom lip while tapping the wheel.
She must give his workaholic husband some news, even if it meant interrupting him at work. He wanted to be part of her life, she owes him that much. Especially after all them IVF failed attempts.
For women under thirty-five there's only a 35% success rate after all.
She turns the car keys, her hand's shaking a little bit as she remembers what the gyno told her. After not having a period for one and half years, she has no choice but to try with the hormone replacement therapy he just prescribed.
«God, that's so sad.» Penny tilts her head forward and breathes into her hands.
She's never wanted to get pregnant, but now that she and Leonard are thinking of starting a family she may... no longer...
She sobs. Early menopause, so unfair.
She runs her hand through the long hair and looks up at the picture of her and Leonard as the lock screen on her phone.
She sniffs, then leans towards the rear-view mirror. For goodness' sake, I got raccoon eyes.
She does need a drop of wine. Or even better, she can always guzzle down some draft beer just like old times.
Guess what, Leonard? At least we still have each other.
