It all started with a bang. I didn't know it at the time, but I wouldn't be seeing my friends for a long time.

I was fast asleep in cabin 6 when the whole camp was awoken by what sounded like a gunshot that was amplified one million times. I jumped out of bed, grabbed my armor, dagger, and of course, my trusty invisibility cap. I ran out of my cabin and headed straight for Half-Blood Hill. As I was running, I caught sight of my boyfriend. Damn, was the son of Posidon hot or what? He caught me looking at his midnight black hair, perfect tan, and toned muscles- why did the gods bless me with him, not that I'm complaining or anything?- and smirked.

"Like what you see, Wise Girl?"

"In your dreams, Seaweed Brain."

"You're already there."

Boy, was my boyfriend amazing of what? He was sweet, caring, and always knew exactly what to say.

"What monster are we fighting anyway, Annabeth?"

Well that jerked me back to reality. I looked up at the beast we were charging towards and I realized I had absolutely no idea what we were going up against, leaving me with no resources to help me defeat it. I turned to Percy and whispered, "I have no idea." He looked at me in disbelief.

"The Annabeth Chase doesn't know what we're fighting?! What is wrong with this world?l"

"Haha very funny. Now let me make the plan." I stood there for a second and examined the beast. It had two heads, one that breathed fire and one that spit poison, stood on four paws that had giant claws, and had a long spiky tail.

"OK, here's the plan. You attack/distract it and I'll kill it from behind."

"Will you wear your invisibility hat?"

"No duh, Seaweed Brain. When do I ever not?"

Percy didn't answer and just kept running. I put on my cap and we put our plan into action. He started yelling in the monster's direction as I went around back and stabbed it in the leg. When I looked back at Percy, I saw him being picked up by it. I screamed and ran towards the mouths. I took off my hat and yelled, "Take me instead!"

The monster, I had decided, was a dragon-type thing, dropped my boyfriend in surprise. He regained his senses after a second and grabbed me instead. I screamed and thrashed, trying to get loose. After a second I realized that if I kept moving, I would be eaten. As soon as Percy could get up, he was running at the dragon thing, but its skin was impenetrable just like Percy's. When he was fifteen, he took a swim in the River Styx and became invincible except for the small of his back. He kept whacking away at the monster's leg even though he's unable to make any progress; a true Seaweed Brain. The dragon took off with Percy still attacking it and me still in its mouth. I could still see Percy screaming at me as I disappeared into the clouds.
