Summary: Short drabble I have written about the scene in The Siege II where John tells Elizabeth he has to fly the jumper into the Hive ship.

His eyes stayed on hers moments longer than they should have. He turned and ran up the stairs. Tears filled her eyes, but she would not let them fall. She had to be strong. She knew just what he was giving up. Life. His death would mean something.
Her eyes stayed on his moments longer than they should have. Then he ran up those stairs. He didn't see the tears fill her eyes. This was to save her, and her city. He would see her again, even if he had to wait forever.
