Warm was the sun on a fine July afternoon. The wind had been fluttering about with a light breeze just enough to shake some leaves. This day was quite a special day for someone as it would be their nineteenth birthday. This person's friend had been planning for this day for three weeks in advance, feeling as though the birthday boy had deserved to finally have a normal birthday.
Hermione and Ron had been in charge of the food, Luna had been in charge of plates and cutlery, and Neville had been in charge of decorations. The party would be absolutely perfect, only there was one thing missing. One thing that could add a bit of colour. Balloons. Neville had forgotten to bring the balloons. They only had ten minutes until the birthday boy, Harry, would arrive.
Hermione, Ron, and Luna had assured Neville that it would be alright. After all, there were other decorations there. However, Neville felt ashamed for having forgotten such a simple decoration such as balloons. Alas, Neville raced out of the house and began heading to Hogsmeade to get some balloons, hoping that he would make it back before Harry arrived.
The brunette boy dashed around the market place, searching for the shop which had balloons. Unfortunately, by the time that he had gotten to the shop there had been a major line up at the register. Neville did what he could to make it past the crowd and into the balloon section. He picked up some already blown-up balloons and went to the register. One minute went by and then another. Eventually, Neville made it to the register and paid for the balloons.
Off he went, back to the house. However, as he was walking the wind had began to pick up. The balloons went wild and became harder to control with the wind blowing in all different directions. Neville made sure to keep a firm grip on the balloons as he slowly made his way against the raging wind.
He had finally made it back to the house and began setting up the balloons. Right in time too, as Harry had just walked through the door.
