Rachel sat out on the curb in front of Susan's house. She couldn't call it home it home anymore. Not without her father. She looked around the empty street; she wasn't supposed to be out after dark. But Susan was making exceptions, because she called this 'grieving.' Zeke was apparently grieving. But Rachel didn't think that not talking was called grieving. At least she was telling people how she felt. Katya was angry at Susan; as if it was her fault that there father had died. She could still see the Christmas wrapping protruding from the garbage bin. Just seeing it made her feel sick. Just a week ago they had been happily opening presents with there father. Zeke, Susan and herself had left Katya back in Erinsborough and gone on the honeymoon that her father had wanted. They had had a memorial service for him in France. Rachel knew that the only reason Katya didn't come was because of Susan. Katya didn't understand that Susan did all she could to make their father comfortable, happy and as healthy as he could be. Truth be told, Susan did have a few moments where Alex was awake and Katya did specify that she wanted to speak to him. But who could blame Susan, her husbands life was being wrenched from his body right in front of her eyes, she didn't have time to be calling Katya just for a little 'forgive me' talk. There were more important things to say to Alex. Rachel looked over at Bree's house. There were lights on and she could see the silhouetted figures of the inhabitants of the Scully household moving around. The door opened, spreading momentary light on the dark cul-de-sac. Scott 'Stingray' Timmins came charging down the driveway of Lyn's house and spotted her and ran over.
"Hey!" He said, more happily than he should have.
Rachel smiled.
"Hi Scott." She replied.
"Call me Stinger!" He laughed and shook her shoulder playfully.
"Okay, Stinger." She smiled at him.
He seemed to make her smile, even when she was sad.
"What are you doing out here so late?" Stingray asked, narrowing his eyes in pretence.
"I could ask you the same thing." Rachel said, glancing at him.
In the moonlight he looked quite handsome. She shivered uncontrollably, her whole body started to get immensely cold. Stingray looked at her, alarmed, and immediately draped his arm protectively over her shoulder. She was still cold, but wasn't shivering.
Stingray looked down on her gazing into her eyes; his chocolate brown eyes making her heart melt. She felt weak and her head was spinning. He moved his arm from her shoulders to her waist and used his other hand to tilt her chin up ever so slightly. He looked at her for a moment and leaned in and kissed her softly on her lips. Rachel's heart was pounding.
Oh my gosh. He's actually kissing me. She thought.
His lips were soft and he smelt slightly of strawberries and pizza. They broke apart, not knowing whether it had been minutes or seconds since the kiss started.
"Rach, I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry Stingray. It was great."
She leaned back into his chest and rested her head on his shoulder.
The night wore on and the couple stayed exactly where they were gazing at the moon.
This was a total one off but please review anyway! Because I will be inspired to write more fanfics!
