Who the character is, is up to you. Although i would be curious to know who you think it is.
Taking her hand, the man gently led her into the room. Her eyes glistened with relief, as though an execution sword has at last been lifted and put away. Back into the hilt and back to storage, never to be touched again. He whispered to her as she gave out a soft laugh that mixed with tears. She leaned into him, inhaling his scent. She could finally rest. No more blood, no more manipulations, she was finally allowed to let herself relax; to truly let her guards down.
She promised herself that she would never go back to the magic, to deny the feelings for darkness, to use spells.
The room began to fill with dust over time, old vials and mixers began to erode, the chemicals evaporating or decaying, no longer potent, except for its old smell. It was later set to be burned, along with all the scrolls and letters as well as the book, all turned to ash; and for the first time, her dreams were that of peace and without magic.
