One snowy, wintry day in the kingdom of Arendelle, two sisters were preparing for the holidays. Christmas was in the air, and Arendelle's Queen Elsa and Princess Anna were busy making sure every inch of the castle was decorated with twinkly white candles, garlands of evergreen with little red berries nestled in them, sprigs of holly and mistletoe (Elsa's own little touch for Anna and Kristoff! Hee, hee), and, of course, the large, twenty-foot tall Christmas tree that was to be lighted the very next night at eight o'clock in the town square.

Wonder who was going to light the tree? Anna and Elsa's very own cousin, Princess Rapunzel! Rapunzel arrived by boat that afternoon with her mother and father and Flynn. King Richard, Queen Laura Jean, Princess Rapunzel, and Prince Flynn were the royal family of Corona, a small kingdom located on an island not far from Arendelle. Queen Laura Jean was Anna and Elsa's late mother's sister, so they would often come visit their aunt and uncle in Corona when they were younger. But they'd never met Rapunzel until that special Christmas. Queen Laura Jean's and King Richard's daughter had been missing a long time, for eighteen years. But, one day, on the princess's birthday, their Lost Princess was returned to them, and they had been the happiest family, altogether, since.

In honor of Rapunzel's return to the throne of Corona, Elsa asked her cousin to light Arendelle's Christmas tree. "I'd be honored!" Rapunzel replied, laughing and hugging her new friends.
