It is the Christmas… and the flu season in London, and it's snowing! It has been soooo long since I've seen the Doctor at Torchwood. Everybody is doing something. Mum is cooking nonstop in the packed kitchen while Dad and Mickey decorate the mantle before they get the tree. And that leaves me. I have to get the presents… For everybody. I'll have to guess what they want because they never tell me. I walk down the little shops and the lake and lights are everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE. It's beautiful with the snow but they had to put lights on every single bare spot they could find! I looked at this tall pink structure. This looks strangely familiar. Then it hit me. That is my old work place before…he came and saved me from the mannequins. But he blew it up into pieces! And it looks fine! Oh well I'll figure out later AFTER gift shopping.

After 2 hours of walking around trying to find some presents, I finally got some wrapped, bowed, and ready for Christmas in 12 days. I walked up to my apartment and found Mickey stuck in the door because the tree he was trying to get inside fell on him and the tree is really heavy. So I dropped my bags and called Dad to help me. Dad picked the tree up with no ease and carries it in front of the mantle. I gothi in as Mum quickly walked toward me with a blue and white nicely wrapped box.

"Rose darling. I found this outside the door. I think its for you. There is a note attached."

"Do you know when it came?"

"Sorry dear. I was with Susan."

"Thanks anyways Mum."

I walked to the couch and sat on the floor with a strange box in my hands. On the side, there was a white piece of paper. It reads:

' On the first day of Christmas,

I give this to you, my true love. Open in this exact moment.

~ Your true love'

Mum looks at me funny.

"Rose deary. Who is it from?"

"I...I have no clue."

"Well? Are you waiting for rain to fall down? Open it!"

I slowly untied the bow waiting for something bad to happen. I opened the box and found a little pear tree and a beautiful baby black and white Warbler sitting on the very top.

"It is beautiful."

I moved the snowglobes off the tele and placed the tiny tree and little bird.
