I am Remus Lupin's only child. My godfather Harry has told me lots about him. He has told me stories of him with his friends at school right up to when he taught at Hogwarts, being in the Order of the Phoenix and the last war.

I have heard about how he was a 'Marauder' and a werewolf. I have heard about his friends and all that they did for him: becoming animagi, staying with him every full moon and being his best friends when he thought he wouldn't have any.

Harry also told me about my mother. How she was a metamorphmagus, and how she loved my father even though he argued that he was, "too poor, too old and too dangerous."

My parents were apparently really loving, caring people who died to make the world a better place – not just for Wizarding kind but for me too.

My father's friends, James, Sirius and Lily, died for Wizarding kind, also, and for Harry. They were kind, caring people who just wanted the best for everyone.

Sometimes, to cheer me up, Harry would say things like, "We are the next generation of Marauders, here to make our parents proud!"

I remember asking Harry something when I was really little. After he had found me crying about wishing I had a Daddy, Harry told me about my Dad and his friends at Hogwarts and I asked a really simple question that, looking back on, meant so much more than I first intended.

I asked Harry, "If I'm here like my Daddy, and you are here like yours, then who is here like that Sirius man you always talk about?"

Harry looked at me with a face of thought on his face, and then he broke out into a smile with tears forming in his eyes. He was clearly affected by what I had asked him.

It didn't occur to me, at the time, that he knew Sirius when he was alive, like he knew my father. And it was probably hard for him to answer such a deep question, especially to answer to a little boy.

He answered it as best as he could. He answered it so that I would understand and so that I would know how great Sirius really was.

Harry answered, "Sirius was my godfather, like I am yours. He was a great man. He was funny, handsome, loving, caring, outrageous, fun, loud and happy with whom he was.

"He had a lot to do with me after I turned 13, he helped me a lot and cared and loved for me like a father. He rubbed off a lot on me especially, but also on anyone he met, even those who hated him.

"So I guess that there is a bit of Sirius in everyone. Everyone who cared for him is here like him, especially you and me. Even though he didn't have children, he treated me, and would've treated you, like his own son."

I was very confused at first with his long answer, but I soon grew to understand what he had said.

I like to think of Sirius as my great-godfather, as he was my godfather's godfather. I told Harry this, and he thought that this was a fantastic idea and that it meant a lot to him and that Sirius would have been proud to have that title.

I don't know much about Sirius. Only that of what Harry has told me and, based on that, I have come to the conclusion that Sirius 'Padfoot' Black was so brilliant there is no word to describe him.

If anyone comes across my path that disagrees, I'll say, "He was brave enough to stand up to his dark family and become the first 'light' Black, he became an illegal animagi for my father when he was underage, he fought for Wizards and Witches and died protecting Harry Potter, his godson."

This came to me when I was sitting up in bed one night, in the dark, when I was meant to be sleeping, so I hope it isn't too dodgy.

Thanks for those who took the time to read it (And thanks to Becky [RabbitohsGirl, for being awesome).
