I Do Not Own Twilight or Predator

Billy Black still had nightmares of the day he lost his legs.

It was back in his army, or rather post-army, days that it happened. Ironically, it was going to be last assignment. After Sarah had found out she was pregnant again, they had decided that he wouldn't re-enlist. He wouldn't have last time if they'd found out about the twins sooner.

His team, led by Major Dutch Schaefer, had been called in to rescue hostages in the Central American country of Val Verde. They were accompanied by a C.I.A. liaison, Al Dillon.

After discovering the bodies of a Green Beret team, the whole mission had turned into a clusterfuck.

When they found the guerilla camp, they discovered that Dillon had set them up. The 'hostages' had been C.I.A. operatives. But it was on the way back to the pick-up that things really began to go south.

One by one, the team had been picked off, until only he, Poncho, Dutch, and a guerilla woman they, or rather Dillon, had taken prisoner had been left alive. Poncho had been wounded, and he had decided to take a stand.

Rather than flee with his commander and the others, he decided to try and buy them some time, if not outright kill the creature that was hunting them. He had discarded his firearms, and drew his knife, prepared to meet the creature in combat on a log spanning a ravine.

The fight had been short, and he still remembered the agony of that things blades plunging into his gut. Honestly, he had been lucky that blow didn't kill him.

But it did knock him off the log, and into the river below.

He still couldn't remember if he had passed out before, or after hitting the water.

His next memory was waking up in a hospital. Dutch had been beside him. The major had explained that Poncho had been killed, and how he had killed the creature. He also explained about how he found Billy on his way to an extraction point.

The two of them, plus the girl, had been the only survivors. But, whether it was the fall or the creatures blades that did it, Billy didn't know, he lost legs. Dutch had given him a good insurance and severance package, but with three kids and a wife at home, things were tight.

It wasn't as if he could go out and work in a wheelchair.

Then Sarah had been in the car accident, leaving him to raise their three children alone. Sure, he had help, but they were his responsibility.

But now, his nightmares were different.

He learned that that creature that killed off the majority of his team wasn't the only predator out there.

And his son was out there fighting them.

His nightmares now revolved around a vampire getting lucky and killing his only son. Or even worse.

That creature returning to hunt the entire pack.

Hope you enjoyed.

I just watched Predator, and though his name was technically Billy Sole, I didn't hear his last name mentioned once, so I took some liberties when this idea popped into my head as I watched it.
