"I love you, Dom"-Those were the last four words she had said to him before she left. Now she was at war, while Dom was forced to stay at the palace, waiting for his love, Keladry of Mindelan , come home. He had been injured in his last battle, stuck with a slowly healing leg. How he longed to look upon her face, get lost in her dreamy hazel gaze, and hold her in his arms. Now he wasn't sure if that was going to happen. She had been gone for over six months.and the letters had stopped coming.

He sat in his rooms, day and night, waiting for Keladry, and trying to banish any thoughts from his mind that maybe she wasn't coming back. He was suffering; life just didn't seem worth living without her. "Mithros, Goddess-look after her, please"

She had been fighting for several weeks straight. Just barely getting enough rest to stay alive. She didn't have any time to write to Dom. Did he think she was dead? She certainly hoped not! She missed him so much. She dreamed of him every night-when she actually got to sleep, which wasn't very often or long. The Scanrans weren't giving up just yet.

There was sudden pounding on his door. "Dom!" He recognized that voice! He dropped the dagger and ran to the door. He opened it to stare into Kel's beautiful hazel eyes with his bright blue ones. She had been crying; her face was tearstained. He stepped towards her and wrapped her in a tight hug while she cried into his shoulder. "I love you, Kel"
