Hermione came running down the stairs from the girls dormitory, Ginny right behind her. "Hermione you can do it just go right up to him!" Ginny was whispering at Hermione as she freshly ran to the common room. Ron was sitting by the fire and staring dreamily into it.
"You can do this Hermione." Hermione told herself. Ron was in his quidditch uniform, he just got back from a practice. Hermione wanted to just turn back and go to her room, but she knew Ginny was only few feet away and would catch her in no time and that would make a scene, Ron would probably notice.
Hermione was making her way over to him when someone got there first, Lavender. Hermione groaned. Ron looked at Lavender and said "What do you want Lavender?"
"Well Ron I wanted to see if you wanted to get back together." Lavender said as if she knew there were gonna get back together. Ron got mad, Hermione could tell the least, he jumped out of his chair and stared at her with anger and disgust. "LAVENDER WE ARE DONE I DON'T LIKE YOU LIKE THAT," Ron was yelling at her the whole common room full of people were staring at them but Ron soon noticed and started to use his "inside voice." "listen Lavender the reason we broke up was because all we did is snog and when I tried to talk you would just snog me and I want someone I can talk to, I am sorry lavender but you need to stop thinking that will get back together I just don't want to, sorry Lavender." Lavender turned red. She turned away from him and saw Hermione staring at them. Lavender gave her a dirty look than ran to the girls dormitory, crying. Hermione slowly made her way to Ron, he was looking into the fire again.
"Hey, you okay?" Hermione asked as she sat down next to him. Ron jumped a little and looked at Hermione like she was crazy for asking.
"Why do you care?" Ron asked quietly.
"Because Ron no matter what happens were friends and I have something to tell you, but first I want to make sure you are okay. I saw what happened." Hermione whispered this, she was really nervous. Ron looked up at her.
"Your right Hermione but first I need to apologize," Ron waited to see if she would interrupt but she stayed quite. "Hermione I am so sorry, I acted like such a git and I cant believe half the stuff I said to you and did to you." He looked away from her. " I hope you can forgive me." Hermione stayed quite for awhile she was in deep thought, he had apologized to her and that rarely happened of course she would forgive him. She began to smile.
"Ron, I'll forgive you if you forgive me." Ron looked at her once more "I was mean too, and I'm sorry." Ron smiled and they hugged. Ron let go of Hermione and smiled and said "what did you want to say?"
Hermione got nervous okay Hermione time to tell him. She thought
"It started in our forth year," she lowered her voice in to a mire whisper. " I like you a lot Ron, more than friends." Hermione looked away but could feel his glare on him, oh god he doesn't like you Hermione. She thought to herself.
Ron was in shock and couldn't say something for along time. He was finally able to say something "you..you do?" he stuttered Hermione looked up and expected him to laugh at her but he was series
"yes." she whispered. Ron took her hand and spoke to her with the words she hoped he would say.
"I always had Hermione." before she can say anything ells Ron leaned in and kissed her. The kiss was short but the most beautiful thing she could ever image. " I love you Hermione."
