Lily was chasing, once again, James Potter and Sirius Black. She thought that after admonishing them for their cruel pranks for almost six years they would have gotten it through their thick skulls that they shouldn't pull pranks while she was in the common room. But of course, this was James Potter and Sirius they were talking about. As she ran she realized that she had lost them and had reached a blank wall. Following her inner instincts she touched the wall and she felt herself going through it as if she was on Platform nine and Three Quarters. As she came through it she became dizzy and promptly fainted.
When Lily regained consciousness, she saw an unfamiliar, pretty girl with bushy brown hair standing over her. She was frowning and Lily felt herself mirror her expression. "Hi" the girl started to say slowly but the sight of a messy, raven haired boy walking towards them caused Lily to jump up and start running again. She ran past more unfamiliar faces until she decided that she should walk like the other students. She was sure that she was still in Hogwarts but she couldn't pick put any of her friends. She made up her mind to go to Professor Dumbledore⦠if he was still Headmaster.
She made her way towards his office and stared at the gargoyle guarding the entrance dumbly. She started rattling off random sweets from Honeydukes, "Cockroach Clusters, Fudge Flies Fudge, Blood Lollipops, Salt Water Taffy, Ice Mice, Licorice snaps, Peppermint Toad, Pink Coconut Ice and Pepper Imps" until the gargoyle finally jumped aside. She walked up the spiraling staircase hoping that Dumbledore or even Professor McGonagall was here. As she knocked on the Headmaster's door, the door opened to indeed reveal Professor Dumbledore and the bushy haired brunette.
"Hi." She ventured in the office cautiously.
"Hello Ms. Evans. Have a seat. Lemon drop?"
"Er...no thanks."
"Well Ms. Evans, you have found yourself in a very unique situation. May I ask how you got here?" he asked politely.
"Sure. Well I was...running after James Potter and Sirius Black after they didā¦some stuff and I came to this wall and I don't know why really, but I walked through a wall and ended up here." I finished gesturing uselessly and dropped my hands lamely.
"Hmm..I see. I think I know what is going on. You see it is 1994 now, I presume you are from 1977? Well when you walked through that wall, you somehow traveled into the future. And when you arrived here, Ms. Hermione Granger saw you and somehow recognized you."
Here he looked at Hermione who blushed. I notice that there was a piece of parchment in her hand. Could it be the Marauders Map? Probably, otherwise how could she have figured out who I was?
"So for the time being you will be sorted in Sixth Year Gryffindor even though you are a Seventh year. Now I imagine there's someone you might want see." He finished with a twinkle in his eye for the last part.
Hermione motioned for me to come with her so I followed her out. The second I stepped out she started babbling quickly.
"Hello, I'm Hermione Granger and a sixth year Gryffindor, like you. I suppose you're wondering how I found out that it was you. But first I need you to know a few things. First of all you get married to James Potter."
At this I grinned. James and I had been dating since the beginning of Seventh year when he had finally grown up. Hermione noticed this and smiled softly. "And you also have a child."
