Beastboy slowly trudged through the dark hallways of Titans Tower looking for the one thing the he couldn't have. Two years had passed since the accident that took them away from him. It had been their hardest fight the team has ever had, even harder than Trigon, and had led too Beastboy and Starfire being the only original Titans left.

Beastboy gagged as he looked down at the mangled body of his leader, Robin, who had been torn apart at the hands of a new villain Beastboy had never seen before. The villain looked like a zombie version of Superman and kept yelling "Bizzaro rules!"

Beastboy made his way to the common room hoping that a might night snack would help him sleep. He punched in the code and the door slid open revealing a sobbing Starfire on the couch. He hated seeing her like this but didn't know what to say to her to make her feel better. They had lost their family.
"Starfire?." He asked timidly.
"Beastboy!? I didn't hear the door open" She jumped.
"Sorry I couldn't sleep. Needed something to eat. What about you?"
She looked at him with a look so devastated it tore his heart apart. "I miss them" She sobbed
Beastboy immediately forgot about his tofu sandwich and went to wrap his friend in a tight embrace.
"Why do you not grieve friend Beastboy?" She asked returning the embrace.
"Someone has to be strong for you Star. I'm that someone by default not." His throat was beginning to close up.

Looking up from Robins body, Beastboy turned just in time to see Bizzaro rip Raven in half, throwing both pieces of her body away.
"RAVEN!" He had yelled.
Bizzaro looked at Beastboy with a sly smile on his face and cackled evilly. Bizzaro then turned toward Starfire and narrowed his eyes at her. Both Cyborg And Beastboy knew what was about to happen and as Beastboy ran to her he knew Cyborg would push her out of the way….. And sure enough Cyborg now has two scorched holes in his head.

Remembering the details of that wretched day mad his stomach churn. Tightening his embrace with Starfire, he could feel his eyes beginning to well up.
"Why don't we go to bed." He suggested, trying to calm the red-headed alien down.
"Do you mind if I sleep in your room for tonight friend Beastboy?" She looked at him with puffy eyes.
Beastboy swallowed down the lump of emotion in his throat that prevented him from speaking and said
"I don't mind at all."
Minutes later they were both warm under his blankets, holding each other trying to find solace in each other. Beastboy looked down at her and cupped her face with his hands. Her emerald eyes boring into him.
"Starfire I have always wanted to say thank you for always being there when I needed you. I always used to hide from my feelings but you made them come out." He said as he lowered his head down and kissed her soft lips.

Unrivaled rage took hold of Beastboy as he morphed into The Beast. The creature looked at his host's family and let loose a feral howl and charged straight at Bizzaro, who didn't expect the green morphling to charge right at him and reacted slowly, tackling him to the ground where The Beast rained down punches on him. The Beast grabbed Bizzaro's throat and pulled effectively ripping it out, spraying himself and Bizzaro with blood. Changing back into his true form Beastboy stood up and Picked Starfire in his are, walking back to the tower

Starfire looked at him and smiled her first real smile in the last two years. "You don't know how long I've waited for you to do that."
"Would you mid if I did it again?" Beastboy laughed
"I don't mind at all." She smiled at him, while he pulled her into another passionate kiss.
