PROLOGUE
Across a vast and spacious land span many kingdoms, each of varying wealth, power, and size. Each as well with their notable rulers have found their place, but from the sea of kingdoms arise two of note and influence: the kingdom of Endeavor, and the kingdom of All Might. The rulers of those kingdoms, named accordingly after the same, have created two wildly different climates.
Endeavor's kingdom, with its heart in a dormant volcano, built from ashes, and lava rock, and obsidian - wealthy, but aggressive. As a result, many rulers from other kingdoms keep their distance, which has left them with only the alliances built by previous rulers of the kingdom, and by those that could be intimidated or drawn in by the absolute power at its core. Despite a low degree of favor across the land, the kingdom of Endeavor's wealth speaks for itself.
All Might's kingdom, a rich, lush empire built on prosperity. Driven by a sense of peace and fairness, that kingdom has become a place of wonder, almost worthy of the title of paradise. It has come to be that way through the valiant efforts of the current leader, the one and true All Might. After vanquishing the greatest evil in the land, All Might built from the ground up and kept the peace. Many other kingdoms have sought alliance with his majesty, leading to lasting and beneficial friendships with neighbors. The kingdom of All Might is the wealthiest and most prosperous, by a considerable margin.
As prosperity spreads, slowly engulfing and encompassing all the kingdoms in the region, the eyes of the common folk are drawn not to any perceivable evil and the need to vanquish it, but to the idle chitchat and buzz surrounding the royal families. In these days where strain is rare and becoming ever more so, it has become habit to delight in chatter and gossip, especially regarding His Majesty, Endeavor, and His Majesty, All Might. Watching their many feats has become a form of entertainment.
There are whispers that have made their way to the far reaches of the region regarding the future of All Might - the kingdom, not the man. For it has been realized that His Majesty, All Might, despite reaching the age where one might bear a son, has yet to do so, leaving the kingdom without an heir. People better connected have also heard the faintest whisper of a rumor that All Might will be choosing an heir rather than birthing one, but very few believe there is merit to those words. After all, His Majesty has yet to make any statements on the subject, beyond reassurance that an heir will eventually take the throne.
Only those closest to All Might know the truth - that he has already chosen an heir, and has broken tradition in doing so. His heir is a boy, no older than fifteen, and under his employ as his personal servant. Beyond that, this boy is his protege, and studies under All Might directly to prepare him for the day when he will have to take the throne.
That boy's name is Midoriya Izuku.
