Cuddled up close on the bed, their bare bodies pressed against each other under the covers, the two girls laid together in companionable, peaceful silence. Having finished making love just a few minutes before, they were both exhausted.
Suddenly, one of them smiled, and let out a soft laugh that stirred the silence.
The other smiled curiously. "What is it?" she asked, bringing a hand up to touch her fingertips to her lover's cheek.
The first girl absentmindedly began to stroke circles over her companion's hip with a finger. "Do you remember when we smashed Festus's car?"
"Of course I remember," the second girl responded gently. "Why do you bring it up?"
"I was just remembering when we had to take Festus home, and he made us sing 'Forever Baby' to him in Spanish."
The second girl let out a small laugh at the memory, and the two fell into a soft silence again.
After about another minute, the first girl broke the quiet again. "Move your body right next to mine," she sang softly, a smile on her face.
"Feel the beat, and we're lost in time," the second girl picked up.
Looking straight into the other girl's eyes, the first girl continued: "I am yours, and now you are mine…"
"Forever, baby," the second girl whispered softly, a small smile on her face.
Grinning, the first girl leaned in to brush her lips against her lover's. "I love you, Jade."
"I love you, too, Tori."
