How he is still changing her life
Rory's life is perfect. She's a successful journalist and she's still together with Logan. They're even engaged. Lorelai and Luke got married and are expecting a baby. Everything is just how it's supposed to be. But Rory misses something in her life. Something, or maybe someone..
A month before the wedding
Rory is taking a walk in the neighborhood. Logan and she live in a family friendly neighborhood. In which lots of rich husbands and soccer moms live. Rory wasn't too thrilled about that, but eventually she gave Logan what he wanted. Rory takes lots of walks lately. The wedding stress is getting to her. Most of the things are already been taken care of, but still, only a month to get ready. Even though Logan and Rory are very happy and have very few fights, something is up. Rory can't lay a finger on it, but something has changed between Logan and her. Every time Rory tries to talk to Logan about it, he acts like everything is fine. So Rory just tries to push the feeling away and just hopes for the best.
Three weeks before the wedding
Rory is visiting Lorelai and Luke in Stars Hollow. Rory sees how happy they are. She feels the feeling again and its harder to push it away this time. Lorelai is very pregnant. Which means she even eats more than usual and she's very cranky because she can now only drink decaf. Rory tries to cheer her up with a movie night and it feels just like the old days. During the second Godfather, Lorelai falls asleep. Rory pauses the movie and walks to the kitchen. Luke's there and they start talking. Just about normal stuff. Suddenly Luke says 'Rory, I know something is wrong and please I just want to say to you that you have to be sure. If you have doubts then don't go through with it. No one will judge you.' Rory bursts into tears. Luke hugs her and they don't say anything again the whole night.
Two weeks before the wedding
Rory is repressing the feeling. She acts all normal around Logan but deep down she feels it's not right. She goes to her favorite bookshop to think. She's there all day. About 20 books in, she sees him. And she feels something. She starts smiling and crying. God he looks well. 'Of course he did it' she thinks. 'I knew he would write another book'. It's another book written by Jess.
One week before the wedding
When Rory comes home from running errands, she sees Logan sitting in the kitchen. She's surprised because she thought he'd be at work. She asks if something is wrong. He says she should sit down. He looks very serious. 'I don't think we should be doing this', he says. Rory asks what. 'The wedding, I think it's a mistake. I know you think it too. I'm not mad and I hope you're not mad at me but, I don't think marriage is for us. I love you with all my heart but we don't belong together'. Rory looks stunned. Logan takes his prepacked bag and says he will be staying with Finn for a while and that he'll take care of cancelling the wedding. He says Rory can take her time packing and moving out. When he's almost out the door Rory says, 'you know I love you and don't want to hurt you right?' 'Yes I know.' And he walks out of the door.
