Disclaimer: I don't own Cloud and Reno.

Just alittle fluff. I'm working on a CloudxReno fic right now where Cloud saves Reno from some drunks.

I know, been done, but I like it.

Reno's Fear

Like most people, Reno had a fear. But it was a fear that many people didn't know about, but for his partner Rude.

He hated spiders.

He hated their long legs. He hated the way they would climb up walls.

Just the thought of the possibility of a spider in the same room as him would send a chill down his spine. Reno could look at the weapon one of his victim's would point at him, and just smirk. But spiders, they made him shake in fear. They would make him run out of rooms screaming, or cling onto Rude's arm until his partner would kill it.

But today, Reno wasn't clinging onto Rude's arm, but to Cloud Strife's. The man known and feared by many. Even Reno feared Cloud. Cloud was just one of those guys you didn't want to piss off.

Reno tightened his grip on Cloud's arm. He knew Cloud was wondering what the fuck was going on.

It had happened so suddenly.

He had walked into Strife's Delivery Service to offer the blond spiky haired warrior a job, to only suddenly scream and hide behind him after seeing the creepy looking spider crawling along the wall.

"Reno. What the hell is with you?" Cloud asked. He felt confused. He had never seen Reno like this. It reminded him of a frightened child.

"Kill it, Strife. I fuckin' hate them!" Reno screamed out, and body trembling, as he pointed to the spider on the wall.

Cloud stared at the spider crawling along the wall by his desk.

"You're afraid of spiders?" Cloud asked.

Reno tightened his grip on Cloud's arm as he stayed firmly behind the blond.

His eyes huge in fear, watched the spider crawl along the wall.

"Yes!"

"Now fuckin' kill the frigging thing!" Reno demanded in a shout as his body trembled behind the blond.

Cloud shifted his weight.

"You need to let go of my arm…," the blond muttered.

Reno slowly released his grip on Cloud's arm, but he didn't move.

Cloud walked over to his desk and slammed his gloved hand against the spider, crushing it to its sudden death.

He brushed it off his hand as he tossed it in the trashcan.

"It's dead now, Reno."

Reno glanced at Cloud who walked over to him.

"I never thought you of all people would be scared of a damn spider," Cloud remarked, coldly.

"People got fears, Strife. That just happens to be mine."

"Well, it's an odd fear."

Reno's lips curled into a cute pout. It was an odd fear.

END.
