It all started when we were kids. Young had nothing to worry about. Soul and I were closer than peanut butter and jelly. We told each other everything, but I had one little secret, I secretly loved him. As we grew older, we both got our Hogwarts' acceptance letters, and we headed off for Hogwarts.

SEPTEMBER 1, 2019

Lily walked with her family to platform 9 and ¾. She went through the portal with her mother. She met up with Soul later on the train. They found a compartment and sat down. The candy cart came down the aisle; they both bought 4 chocolate frogs and a pack of Bernie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. We started talking about how much fun this year. I really wanted to be in Gryffindor like my brothers. Soul wanted to be in Gryffindor, like me. We were 5 minutes away from Hogwarts, so we went to change into our robes. Once we were both done changing we arrived at Hogwarts. We got off the train. We heard a man's loud voice; we knew it was Hagrid, as he came every year for our family Christmas party. "'ello Lily, Soul, how are ye?" He said as we greeted him. We talked to Hagrid on our way to the boats. Soul and I got on a boat next to another 1st year and a good friend of mine, Hugo Weasley, who also happened to be Soul's brother. We reached Hogwarts around 20 minutes later. We were escorted to the castle by the new caretaker Mrs. Filch; she is the daughter of Mr. Filch, the old caretaker. We were walking in to the Great Hall, when I saw my eldest brother, James, shoot a spitball at me. I looked over at Albus, who mouthed "good luck" and turned around and slapped James who was laughing so hard that he was crying. Professor McGonagall gave her welcome speech and proceeded to the sorting. First up was Soul, he was shaking madly when the sorting hat was put on him, "Hmm, yes, you have the courage of a Gryffindor, but the wit of a Ravenclaw, and the sneakiness of a Slytherin," he said, still thinking, "Must be, Hufflepuff!" I started to cry, no, he can't be in Hufflepuff! The sorting hat must have made a mistake! He slowly walked to the Hufflepuff table, the cheers of the Hufflepuffs drowned out the sound of his sadness. After a few more first years were sorted, then came my time. "I see, very courageous, must be…" he left all of us anticipated for a moment then he shouted, "Gryffindor!" My brothers cheered along with the rest of the Gryffindors, but I didn't care, all I wanted was to be with Soul, and I didn't get to be. I sat down at the Gryffindor table and started to cry. So, I covered my head, and cried 'til my heart was content. Once the sorting was finished, we had the feast. I finished and walked to the common room with my house. I looked over at Soul, who was talking to Albus. Then something weird happened. Soul got pulled away by Professor McGonagall.
