I was absolutely fascinated with the relationship between Scar and Lust in the anime and even more so in the movie. So this short, sweet piece was movie-verse induced, and also set in the movie-verse.

Sometimes he would draw back, she noticed.
Like remembering a bad dream
His crimson eyes would narrow in sleepy suspicion…
And his hands would tighten on her dark skin…
…She wondered why things that didn't belong to their world,
Continued to plague him... on nights like tonight

On nights like that night
She would draw his lips to hers, and cradle his face in her soft hands,
Whispering reassurances… and guiding him home…
A tender smile would find itself curling upon her lips
As he would draw her body towards his own…
As the sensual heat, would force her to close her eyes in bliss

Their movements where always slower… she noticed,
On nights like these,
Where every movement was made to be deliberate,
And torturously beautiful, she knew
He did so, as if - to remind her,
That she was his… and always would be…

After, their hands would link, and their mouths would find one another, in the darkness…
When heated skin and languid limbs, lay in exhaustion
And sheets were tangled and clung to their forms…
She would mentally trace his sleeping features.
A ghost of a smile would form on her features as she would absently smooth hair from her face.

She would find herself gazing at the night's sky.
Unable to shake the feeling, that
Their days together, were steadily growing darker.
