And I'm not good at writing about Bleach.
A small Christmas present for my best-friend, Lilya-chan, hoping her new C2 will have a lot of success. Well, I don't like the pairing too much, but I hope you are going to like it, my dear.
And you all?
What do you think?
Please let me know.
Like this.
Tatsuki sighed, tilting her head as she threw a glance to the male figure standing beside the other edge of the bed, watching him leisurely removing the upper part of his black kimono.
'It's always like this' she thought, slightly smirking.
Yes, it really was always "like this".
Her relationship with Abarai Renji was "like this".
Relationship…
So many people told her their "bond" wasn't even a relationship. Just "sex for fun", they called it.
And, for a short period Tatsuki believed them, too.
Basically, what were they used to do? The lived two different lives.
Or, rather, she lived, for he…well, he ceased to have been alive a long time before.
So, when they – rarely – met, it was always "like this".
He would tell her he would came at six in the morning, and then she waited expectantly for him to come.
They didn't talk much on that occasions. Also because, maybe, there wasn't much to say about them. Renji wasn't the kind of person brought to express his feelings with words. He deeply preferred to fight, to argue, to carve his opinions into the others' mind with the flaring force of his temper.
But the point was Arisawa Tatsuki was exactly the same.
A beautiful flower born in a deep cleft. So gracious and so stubborn. So innocent and yet so spiky.
Fierce, prideful, obstinate.
All those adjective matched her perfectly, describing the enchanting charm of a harsh princess whose beauty was as fascinating and dangerous as the one of a sharp, shiny blade.
Maybe it was because of that remark that Abarai Renji fell in love with her.
Or that she fell in love with him, since she really didn't remember who was the one to bind his heart to the other's.
It just happened, as far as she could tell, just how it happens to rain on a sunny spring day.
And, usually, the rain always attended their meetings, as if the weather wanted to underline how frail and odd their bond was: just a small droplet sparkling under the bright sun.
How long was it going to last?
How long were they going to last?
"As long as we love each others" he used to reply whenever she asked him.
And Tatsuki believed him, for the whole world crushed when he was with her.
And she knew it was the same for him.
Whenever Renji was by her side, she felt she didn't care.
She didn't care about the others, she didn't care about the consequences, about when, and where and why. She lived the present. No future regretting or past memories.
Just the present and the will to hold him in her arms and feel his warmth close to her heart.
"Everything, sooner or later, comes to an end", someone told her a long time ago, but whenever Abarai Renji entered her window, she was sure she was holding between her fingers the hem of her life and stretching and deforming it until the end melted with the beginning and the beginning with the end, giving her the reassurance the were meant to last forever…
Or, at least, until another night would end…
Yes, it really was always "like this".
But Arisawa Tatsuki just loved it that way.
