~* CHAPTER 1!!!!! *~
Hermione Granger heaved a huge sigh and slammed Romeo and Juiliet closed. Viktor Krum had cheated on her last summer, Fred Weasley dumped her last Christmas, George Weasley broke up with her over the March Break, and Draco Malfoy crumbled her heart into pieces this summer. You would think that this poor girl, being dropped over and over like a sodden rag, would have been drained of ever drop of love and romance in her body. But no-Hermione was even more love crazed than EVER!!! She had never had so much confidence in finding a guy or was ever so interested in love before!
"Hermione!!!" her mother called from downstairs. It's time to go to King's Cross! Are you done packing yet?"
Hermione glanced around her room. Nope, thought Hermione. Not at all. She yanked an open suitcase from under her bed, and grabbed everything she needed that was in sight and crammed it into her suitcase. "Almost done!" she called downstairs, biting back a lie. Then she grabbed Crookshanks' cat carrier and raced down the stairs. Her parents would just have to use Hermione's new owl that she kept at home, Lyreoa, and owl her remaining stuff to Hogwarts. She crammed on her boots, and grabbed what looked like 2 copies of Hogwarts, A History and jumped into the waiting Mercedes outside the door.

"Whatever do you need TWO copies of that atrocious book for, Hermione?" Ron Weasley asked curiously. Instead of answering though, Hermione turned away from him and laughed to herself. One was the real book, whereas the other was yet another romance novel, bewitched to look like Hogwarts, A History so no one would look through it-everyone but her after all hated the book.
"Oh nothing…" replied Hermione, with a sly smile. "Just nice to keep a spare…"
