All's fair in love and war
Jasper Whitlock One-shot
I do not own Twilight in any way. Jasper meets Alice, but they aren't mates.
"You have to live", I told him.
"I'm dying Jazz", he said.
Another breath and he was gone.
I heard rustling in the forest. I looked up and picked up my gun. I pointed it at the dark shadow.
That's when I saw her.
Her pale skin and platinum blonde hair blended in with the snow.
It was her cloak and her eyes that gave her away.
She had on a smoky gray cloak and her eyes were golden. She had a small smirk on her full pale lips. She gave a little wave and blew me a kiss.
My heart had been stolen by an angel.
A beautiful, pale, angel.
After being turned into a vampire, I met the girl once again.
"Well hello Major", she said with a hint of a British accent. Her voice was smooth as silk and it sent a shiver down my spine.
"Good evening ma'am", I greeted her.
"Aren't we a good southern gentleman?", she asked.
"That's what I was shooting for", I told her.
She laughed. Her laugh was musical. It was like a thousand angels playing a thousand golden harps.
"Would you like to accompany me on my travels to find a Coven?", I asked her.
"I would be honored Major Whitlock", she said, "I'm surprised you would run away with a girl, when you don't even know her name".
"You obviously know me", I said.
"Yes Major", she said, "I do know you".
"Then who are you?", I asked her.
"I'm Sailor Silver", she said.
"What a beautiful name for an angel such as yourself", I said.
"Oh Jasper, if I could blush, my whole body would be red", she said.
"Would you like to?", I asked her again.
"I guess so", she sighed.
"Hey", I said lifting her eyes to mine, "You don't need to be afraid".
"I'm not afraid of you. Just of loving you. I've heard of love at first sight. I knew you were the one for me on that snowy, silent afternoon. I had been watching you, but when I got to close to you, I would run away. It's not that I'm afraid of happy endings, I'm just afraid my life won't turn out that way", she said heartbroken.
"All hearts can be mended", I told her, "I know I was born to fight, but I never imagined I would be born to love you".
"You love me? You've only just met me", she said.
"I know, but I feel like I've known you for years", I told her, "And I love you".
"And I you Major Jasper Whitlock", she said.
I leaned down and kissed her.
"There's nothing like a first kiss", she said.
I just chuckled. "I guess it's like they say, 'All's fair in love and war'", I said before kissing her again.
