This is a drabble of a story I'll be working on when some of my other projects are done. I know it hasn't aired yet, but this takes place after 'Wanted' and what I think might happen.
It was quiet in the council room, empty except for Blue Diamond. Four thrones sat in a circle, one covered by a sheet. The diamond sighed, resting her forehead in her hand. Rose Quartz's son's- Steven- words still echoed in her head.
"Do you really think Pink would want the planet she loved to be destroyed?!"
Him and the other human had stood here. They had es,caped, yes, but...
"Lady Blue-"
"Leave us."
The diamond looked up to hear her pearl leave the room, and Blue stare up at her.
Each Diamond had another made, to take over in case they were shattered. Pink's replacement hadn't been made in time, which was why her court had been disassembled, her subjects put into other courts. Lady Blue wore a light blue tunic, a cloak around her shoulders. Her off white hair was pulled back into a ponytail. She shared the same height as the other replacements- the same height as a pearl. "Do you need something?"
"Its started again." Blue said. "The seeds of rebellion have been sown."
Blue Diamond leaned back. Again- like the first time. Stories of Rose Quartz had drifted to Homeworld, and some gems started questioning. Started thinking. And then there had been a whole war.
"You know he was right."
She sighed, nodding. "I do." Her eyes drifted back over her replacement. "What do you think we should do?"
"Send me to Earth."
The words were loud, as quiet as they had been spoken. Blue gulped, continuing to talk. "Allow me to take plans of Homeworld's current military and go to Earth. The Cluster may be defeated, but Earth is still in danger-"
"Is this about that Lapis?"
Blue stopped, looking like she had been struck. Her hands clenched into fists, the pale blue skin turning white at the knuckles. She knew who her Diamond was talking about- Lapis Lazuli, who had left Homeworld for a scouting trip and never returned. Then, she had returned and had been quickly taken back to Earth by the Peridot and a jasper. "T-This has nothing to do about her!"
"I cannot just allow you to leave."
Blue reached towards her gem, pulling a sword out. "I don't want to hurt you, my Diamond. But I will if I have to."
The tension was thick in the air. Then, Blue Diamond sighed. "Go. Quickly."
"Thank you, my Diamond." Blue whispered, pulling her hood up. The diamond sighed, resting her forehead in her hand again as the door opened and closed.
And Blue was gone.
