Sigrun glided over the silent battlefield. The battle was over, and now she was left to survey the dead. Her blue eyes quickly scanned over each person, viewing their deaths. There was no one worthy.
And then she saw him: an Envoy of Gaia, the Envoy of Gaia. The fearless defender of all good on Terra, who had defeated the Shadow Knight, Reinhardt. The Envoy who she herself had accompanied for a time. But now countless wounds covered his body, and his armor was stained crimson with blood. His weapon of choice was gripped tightly in a vice-like grip, as if he could never let go. Sigrun remembered his strength; it seemed as if he could take anything, so why was he laying here dead at her feet?
She saw his death. He had stayed behind on the battlefield to allow the surviving Templars to escape. He took on the remainder of the enemy army with only his Eidolon companion by his side, who had been released from the bond and returned to the Aura Kingdom after the Envoy's death. He had slain all his enemies yet perished from his wounds.
Sigrun smiled. His death was most certainly worthy.
Kneeling beside him, she leaned down and kissed his lips with her own, severing the bond between spirit and body. His eyes opened, and he smiled in recognition when he saw her. She took his hand, helping him to his feet... and led him to the Aura Kingdom.

Hmm... Wonder if I'll write a continuation of this... I've got an idea for one ;)
