BIRTH OF A CRYOMANCER
Author's NOTE: I gave Sub-Zero a nickname because I didn't want to keep calling him He, Him, His, He'll ever time I referenced him. If this upsets any other die hard fans, then don't read this. Although I stay true to the story line and don't ever use his real name as it is never known.
SUMMARY: This is a story of a young warrior with an unusual ability to manipulate the air particles around him, and turning them to ice, and controlling them as a tool or weapon. It's a detailed account of the journey of a young fighter nicknamed Fai Li, who would eventually become a cold hearted assassin for a secret clan of Chinese ninja's know as the Lin Kuei.
This is my personal take on the life and times of the Elder Sub-Zero, from some of his early years, to teens, as well as his physical and psychological transformation into the ruthless killer many of us MK fans know and love.

PROLOGUE
The path of life can lead many directions, both main roads and sub-par trails. For most, life is a tedious grind upon cast iron to the ears and eyes. They are born, forced into work, then merely pass away. Few among them are remembered for long, and those whose names remain, are eventually forgotten. Many of earth's being's chase shallow goals, with visions of wealth, maybe fame, often times both.
Seldom do any achieve such goals and for the ones that do, they often find that their dreams have left them broken hearted and empty cored, often hallowing out a hole inside themselves against the very feeling inside them they believed that the attention and riches would solve. Though for a chosen bunch, they are born with a special gift that could easily varnish them money and publicity, however choose to live the simple life, unaffected and away from the camera, away from the possession of materializations.
This story is the journey of one such a young man. A man who knew he was different, not just in mental demeanor, but physically as well. As he took his first brave steps up the ramp of the steam liner, he had yet to realize that his life, everything he knew, and perhaps everything he believed, was about to go through a radical change, one not easy to stomach, particularly for those weak in mind…………..
