AFRAID
Fitzwilliam Darcy was not normally one to act upon impulse, but after receiving a vague letter from his sister, he ordered for his horse to be prepared and immediately set off to Ramsgate from London. It wasn't as if Georgiana had actually mentioned that something was wrong in her letter, it was the fact that she had barely written anything at all.
Dear Brother,
All is well here in Ramsgate. I am having a wonderful time. Mrs Younge and I spend each day enjoying every moment here. There are many people in residence here during this time of year. It is a joy to see so many people. You can go an entire day without seeing the same person more than once. That is the wide variety of people which can be found here. There are many things to do here. I enjoy taking walks alongside the sea and in furthering my skills at drawing. I have some very nice pictures I would love to show you when I return.
Mrs Younge and I plan to head to the sea for another walk so I must end this now.
Farewell
Georgiana.
It was this vague letter which caused Fitzwilliam Darcy to forgo his normally calm demeanour and act rashly. There was only one emotion around this change, which was fear. This was not like Georgiana at all. All Fitzwilliam could think was that there was something wrong. Normally Georgiana would tell her brother every single detail of every single day that they were apart. That is how close the siblings were. So this change in Georgiana brought great fear to Fitzwilliam and that fear was what drove Fitzwilliam on towards Ramsgate.
