Aikka moved throughout the Wei kitchen in confusion. He opened cupboards only to close them immediately. He scratched his neck and picked a paper, looking over it. "Where are the apples?" He looked towards the living room, wanting to ask Eva where to find the fruit. The pilot, however, was napping on the couch, her back turned to him. And if her father was to be believed, waking her up was an insanely bad idea. Aikka turned back towards the kitchen and looked around. He opened the fridge and looked through, smiling when he found apples on the bottom shelf.
"Earth is a strange place." He placed them on the counter and looked back at the paper. His ears twitched and he turned to the living room, seeing Eva roll over in her sleep. He raised an eyebrow at seeing her pained expression. Her fingers twitched and she moaned in her sleep. "Eva?" Aikka called softly. The pilot twitched in her sleep and whimpered. Aikka knelt down next Eva and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Eva? Are you alright?" Aikka asked quietly.
"...n-no..." Eva whimpered, her fingers curling into a fist. "Canaletto...no..." At the name Aikka sprang forward grabbing both her shoulders.
"Eva!"
"No!" Eva shrieked, her eyes snapping open. Her chest heaved as she breathed heavily.
"Are you alright?" Aikka asked.
"Y-Yeah...just a nightmare..." Eva said, sitting up slowly. Aikka sat behind her and pulled her into an embrace.
"Don't worry, it wasn't real." He told her. Eva sighed and wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her head in his shoulder.
"It sure felt real," Eva said. "I thought he killed everyone."
"Don't worry, we're safe," Aikka said to her.
"Thank you."
