A Fire and Hemlock post book drabble. Because the picture came to me. Because I felt like inflicting it on you all.

Disclaimer: Not mine. Don't sue. I'm poor.

Tablespace
by Lilly

An invisible line divides the dining room table.

To the left of the line lies chaos. Piles of sheet music, programs, and a forgotten itinerary litter the tabletop, all held in place by at least three mugs of old coffee. To the right of the line, the order is severe in contrast. A ream of notebook paper lies across a stack of computer printout. The unforgiving red pen is to the side. A folder containing a final proof is spread open neatly. Coffee - nor any other beverage- has never come close to this side of the table.

The line is almost absolute.

It is crossed only in case of deadline. Or boredom. Whichever one comes first.
