Weed gazed at the white dog before him. He was large, five inches taller than Jerome. The fur that coated his body was thicker than any husky's. The mouth that held fangs sharper and stronger than any dog's stayed closed. The golden eyes stared right at Weed.

The "dog" meant no harm. There were no signs of aggression in his stance. No raised tail. No bared fangs. Not a single hint of a threatening motive in his eyes. Only curiosity lingered in his yellow orbs.

This creature looked just like a dog. He had, after all, the same physical attributes of one. His body structure was like that of a German Shepherd's. His fur was similar to a husky's. The only thing that gave the creature away was the tail. It looked way too fluffy to be a Labrador's, although it wasn't curled like a Kishu's. Plus, it was able to raise up high into the air and tuck between the legs.

Weed was curious. He had never seen a dog like this before before.

The "dog" walked up to Weed, sniffing him. "Why are you here, pup?" Like before, there was only curiosity in the "dog's" voice.

Weed asked the large creature, "What kind of dog are you, mister?"

The "dog" momentarily bared his fangs in aggression. "I am not a dog. I am an Arctic wolf."

Weed never heard the word "wolf" before. He was interested in how this "wolf" looked so much like a dog and yet he wasn't one. "What are wolves?"

The wolf stared back at the pup. "A wolf is the original canine that the dogs came from. My kind's DNA was transformed by human scientists in order to create 'man's best friend'."

The pup looked at the wolf. "Why don't you have a human partner? Are you wild?"

The wolf snarled in disgust. "Wolves were never meant to be kept as 'pets'. We are our own masters. The only company we need is a group of our own kind, a pack."

The Akita Kishu pup smiled. "Do you take in strangers of your kind?"

The wolf nodded his head, ceasing his aggressive behavior. "Of course. However, if we don't like how that stranger is acting around the others, we will chase it off or kill it."

Weed was shocked. "Why? They're your kind. Despite how they act, it's not right for you to kill your own kind, no matter what they've done."

The wolf stared into the pup's eyes. "You're still a pup. One day when you've been betrayed, you'll understand what you'll have to do."

Weed lowered his head. "I've been betrayed by my own kind. He had disposed of two Dobermans that were trying to kill me and I banished him from my pack. It wasn't right for what he had done to them, even if he was trying to save my life. I had only banished him because I didn't want to become what he was. It wasn't right for a friend to take a life without mercy."

The wolf's eyes widened in surprise. "You'd save your enemy even if they tried to kill you?"

Weed stared at the wolf with a grave expression. "Even if they are evil, everyone deserves a second chance. You have to forgive them. Otherwise, you'll become just like them."

The wolf shook his head. "Justice can come in many forms, pup. Just because you kill your enemies, it dosen't make you like them. Killing dosen't always mean that you're evil. Sometimes it can be good. Kill one and you'll probably save a thousand more lives. Peace is preferable, but there are sometimes when those that don't want peace will do anything to make you and your world suffer. Those are the times when you'll have to kill."

Weed stared at the ground. "It dosen't seem right."

The wolf nuzzled the dog's fur. "Do whatever you want." He turned away and paused, only to stare back at Weed. "I'm sure we'll meet again, pup."

"Good bye, wolf," Weed smiled.

How was that? Pretty good? Sorry if I kept Kiba out of character.
