Xemnas looked down at the stone courtyard, one of the hidden rooms near the center of the castle. Unlike the rest of the castle – pristine, white walls and ornate decorations – the courtyard was built of gray stones, the large fountain in the center bubbling away as always.

It was raining. Torrents poured down upon the open area, drenching the stone pathway and making it slippery-slick. Part of it was covered by a sort-of hallway made of a simple roof overhang and two rows of archways, near the entrance to the rest of the castle.

The Superior's eyes narrowed as one of his subordinates – fully cloaked, hood up, came striding calmly underneath the little bridge-like roof. His – well, at least he thought it was not Larxene – hands were tucked into his sleeves, arms folded over his chest in a very monk-like manner. Even though Xemnas could not see the Nobody's hands, he knew they were gloved, just like his own.

He had absolutely no idea who it was.

Then, to his slight surprise, another figure came dashing through the door to the castle, running across the dangerously wet stones of the path towards the other nobody. They collided in a mass of black leather and wet silver chains and zippers. Xemnas's eyes didn't blink as he leaned closer to the open window, watching as the hoods of the two figures came dangerously close to-

Fuck.

He couldn't tell who either of them were.

The shorter one – the one that had come running after the first – was thin, the sopping wet black leather sticking like a second skin. It had to be Larxene with such a petite figure…but wait, what about Demyx? Plus, Roxas was the shortest in the Organization.

The truth was he couldn't rule out very many of them for the second, shorter person: it couldn't be Lexaeus, Saix, Vexen, Xaldin or Xigbar, only because they were too tall or too muscled. That still left half of their ranks, however, as the shorter person. As for the taller, it could be any of them, depending on who the shorter one was in comparison.

He couldn't even say that one of them was definitely Larxene. He knew her taste in men vaguely, only because of her sharp tongue and tendency to bite back if any of the male members tried to make a move on her. Besides, he knew for a fact that because they had no hearts, the bodies did not have a preference.

Besides, anyone as loud, cheery, and musical as Demyx had to be at least a little….crooked.

When Xemnas came back into focus from his internal musings, the two Organization members in the courtyard – the two snogging Organization members in the courtyard – were nowhere to be found.

While he didn't like to mess with the internal relationships that went on between the thirteen Nobodies – more specifically, his twelve subordinates – Xemnas decided that he'd figure out who they were if it was the last thing he'd do.

Somewhere in another part of the castle, Zexion began laughing as he could smell Number One's determination from where he was. The other eleven members exchanged smirks, knowing that their plan had succeeded as soon as the normally-quiet man had begun to shake with laughter.

The war had begun.
