Arthur and His 3rd Grade Flunkies
Chapter 1:
3rd Grade Scheme
Back in 1996, as Arthur and his friends were living in fear of their new teacher Mr. Ratburn.
"Good morning everyone, welcome to Grade 3. Let's see what you remember from 2nd Grade," said Mr. Ratburn.
"We finished 2nd Grade early, let's see what scheme we can get away with this time," thought Arthur.
At recess as the gang was hanging out as usual, Arthur was laughing like he was giggling at some childish joke.
"What's so funny Arthur?" asked Francine.
"Remember how short 2nd Grade was because of how everyone was complaining?" asked Arthur.
"Complaining about what?" asked Francine and Buster.
"Francine, your hair, I complained about my glasses, Buster complained about how hard baseball was etc," explained Arthur.
"Uh huh, so we should be complaining for the rest of our television lives?" said a confused Francine.
"That would be very inconsiderate," said the Brain.
"I have enough to complain about since I'm the outcast girl of this group," said Fern.
"That is very true and plus I hate being fat," said Binky.
"Sort of as you said Francine, since we will age as this show goes on, our lives will be less interesting to the child population. So we could milk the cash from you Muffy for medical drugs to stunt our growth to the 8 year old level for television life," explained Arthur.
"Well the money thing wouldn't be a problem," said Muffy.
"But then we girls will never get our menstrual periods," whined Francine.
"But then we guys will never grow beards," said Buster.
"But I'll be a helpless looking child in appearance while being stepped on by adults when my Wally is worn out and when I need to repair him," whined George.
"But I want to be a prof-" started the Brain.
"ALRIGHT ALREADY! Yeah it's true we wouldn't accomplish any of that natural growth but it's better than being a bunch of boring adults!" exclaimed an irritated Arthur.
"Well let's talk to our parents about it first," said the Brain.
"Okay," said the rest of the kids.
