Steve Leopard

That's me.

Only I haven't been called that since I was kid.

My so-called best friend Darren betrayed me, he became a vampire...

I know I sound crazy.

I will anything to get him back...to kill him...and his mentor Creepy Crepsley...How dare he reject me...

The day I found out about the vampaneze I was overjoyed! Another set of vampires...only more blood thirsty...and purple...

I will do anything to betterDarren Shan

When my mentor Gannen Hurst told me about the Coffin of fireI was insisten to try it. Gannen feared for me. I suppose I had became the son he never had as vampaneze or vampires for that matter cannot have children. All the vampaneze that had tried have died, he told me How could a mere half-vampaneze be the Lord of the Vampaneze.

Well how wrong he was...

They led me into the room where the coffin was kept. Dark, windowless and Fiercely protected. Not unlike the vampires and their stone of blood.

The coffin looked normal on first sight, apart from the small scorch marks around the openings. I would have been convinced it was normal coffin. Well the smell gave it away, It was in the whole room gripping at my lungs. The horrible smell of burnt flesh.

The wrapped me in chains, in straight jackets, to stop me lashing out. Incase I broke the coffin. Like i would be capable.

Gannen looked on his face a mask of fear. I never knew how much he cared about me...

They asked me if I was ready...

The strapped me into ropes to lower me into the coffin.

The started to lower me into the coffin, Fear clutched at my heart. I didn't want to do this. I didn't want to die.

Gannen saw the fear in my eyes, he stepped forward to call out.

It was too late the lid shut. I was in the coffin.

Flames engulfed my body. I screamed out of fear. Blinded by the heat and the mad oranged flames.

I rased my hand expecting to see burn marks, my flesh running down my hand.

Nothing...Then I relised, I really was getting slow on the uptake...

I wasn't being burned

A couple of minutes later, the vampaneze guards opened the coffin, much to their surpise a charred corpse did not lay there...there lay Steve Leonard the Lord of the Vampaneze
