The sun was setting when Allen got back to Headquarters, and by the time Komui had finished with him it was nearly dark. And he was starving. So hungry that Tim was starting to look appetizing, teeth and all. And after he'd had something to eat, which was going to be as quickly as possible, he would go to sleep. Hopefully before it got too late.

Allen made a quick trip to Jerry-san, and, after the food he had ordered (lamb chops, spicy curry, onigiri, fried rice and tempura with some red-bean pancakes and scones with jam and cream) was ready he sat down with his loaded tray and began eating.

'Hey, beansprout!' Lavi was in a good mood, apparently, and sat down with a thump across from Allen, shoving some empty dishes aside.

'It's Allen,' he said around a mouthful of food, shovelling more in the next second.

'Wanna know what happened today?' Lavi asked, leaning forwards with a glint in his eye.

Allen nodded, and waved Tim away from the curry with the lamb chop he was eating. The last time Tim had eaten curry he'd dunked himself in Cross's wine to try to cool off.

'Well, Kanda got back and his Innocence was all busted, so Komui said he'd try to repair it.'

Tim had, despite Allen's frantic chop-waving, gotten hold of some curry and was happily munching on it, while Allen stared at the golem like it was about to explode.

'But Komui thought he could improve Yuu's sword while he was at it, because you know how Komui is.' Lavi had stolen a scone and was munching away on it, watching Allen search frantically around for something.

'Lavi, can you see any water around here?' Allen asked, interrupting Lavi's story.

Lavi shoved a jug at Allen, and continued, glancing at the golem (who was a rather disturbing shade of red). 'So by the time Yuu got his sword back, it wasn't a sword any more. You should have seen his face! Then he went kinda nuts and the Komurin IX was completely destroyed.'

Allen had poured water over the top of Timcampy, who gradually returned to his normal colour. 'So Kanda got to it, huh?' Allen asked, wiping his forehead.

'And threatened to shove Komui inside it if he didn't fix his Innocence immediately,' Lavi grinned.

Allen laughed, and finished his meal, with Lavi chattering and occasionally filching bits of food. 'I'll see you tomorrow, Lavi. Goodnight.'

'See ya, beansprout!' Lavi waved and headed off to either the library or his quarters, you could never tell with him. Allen meanwhile, walked back to his quarters with a smile on his face and Tim nibbling on his hair, looking forward to sleeping until lunch the next day.
