"Oh, Amy, I was out with this guy last night. And he was so damn cute." Amy's friend sat opposite her in a little café they frequently visited for lunch. She was positively glowing.

"We did things last night, only a girl could dream about. Oh, man, he was good. I'm surprised I can walk-"

"-Please! Jodie!" Amy said sharply as she stirred the cream into her coffee. "Spare me the details. I really don't need to know everything."

"You know I wouldn't normally have done all those things on the first date, right?" Jodie asked sounding as if she needed reassurance. "But he was just too good to be true. And he said he had to leave today for Europe. Something about computer sales I think." Amy rolled her eyes. "To be honest I wasn't paying that much attention, if you know what I mean." Jodie continued excitedly, grinning at Amy. In return Amy gave a small smile and rolled her eyes again.

Jodie was renowned for being easier than she made out but the fact that she'd bought the line about the guy being out of town, just proved how naïve she truly was. Amy tried not to smile. She was sure she'd heard Face use those lines.

"Anyway, he's going to ring me as soon as he returns."

Yeah, yeah, Amy thought.

"So what's his name? This hot shot you can't stop telling me about." Amy asked as she picked up her coffee cup and then took a sip.

"Templeton Peck."

Amy sprayed the coffee out of her mouth and coughed as she nearly choked. Jodie looked at her strangely.

"Sorry, coffee's hot. Very hot."
